Great TV LED lights, Alexa Integrated, Helps reduce eye strain/glare when watching in dark
I've had other TV LED lights before but I must say these are probably one of the better if not best one I've had. In the well packaged box you get: 2x40inch strips w/3M adhesive tape 2x20inch strips w/3M adhesive tape 4x10inch strips w/3M adhesive tape Power Cable Control Module w/integrated remote Alcohol Wipes for cleaning surface Reset Needle/tool Additional adhesive backed clip ons Instruction Manual The LED strips themselves are silicon coated which helps them last longer from wear and tear. The adhesive backing is from 3M and from my experience having used it more than a week, they have yet to cause the strips to fall off from losing adhesion. You will want/need to get the Sengled Home App in order to change the colors. The remote really is only for ON/OFF as well as for use of the integrated Mic on the remote for audio sync color change (more on this later). Setup was a breeze, pretty straight forward and Sengled's app is at least to me pretty clean and easy to navigate. There are multiple colors to choose from a color palette in addition to being able to ramp up/down your brightness, use the audio sync function, use a color cycling pattern (you can make your own as well) and also just use either Warm, Soft, Cool, Daylight bulb temperature settings. The strips provide plenty of adequate brightness when used in the dark. If you have other lights on, of course it won't be as effective. The point of these are to reduce glare/eye strain when watching in the dark. I've attached photos showing comparison of the different bulb temperature settings as well as some color options. I've also included photos comparing what it looks like watching with the strip on vs off. There is also a video showing the default color cycle option. I tried the audio sync feature and personally wouldn't recommend it. At least for me, it didn't feel/look seamless or work too well. My volume may have been too soft (?). This by itself though isn't enough for me to take off a star. I never really was interested in the audio sync feature, so it's not a dealbreaker. I don't have experience with something like a Philipps Hue either so I'll leave it at that. The transitions seemed choppy/not as smooth as I'd have expected/liked. A few other gripes: 1) The interconnect sections for the segments could have been made to slot into each other to help affix them better and prevent them from getting loose - however like I said I've not had any issues with this. If you take your time to make sure you do the installation right, this shouldn't be too big an issue. 2) The power cable wire may seem short for some. It worked plenty fine for me, but for those of you who don't have an extra outlet slot nearby, you may want to keep this in mind. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and would greatly recommend this brand over other 3rd party brands. It's not a Phillips Hue, but it works really well. Sengled for me has proven to be a pretty good brand. Their lighting products have been getting better and more diverse and this is definitely worth looking at.

Nonworking, Poor Overall Quality, Unresponsive Customer Service
Purchased and installed per instructions. The included tape is not sticky enough and was coming off within two days. One of the strips was not working (see photos) so I tried to call the support line which says that the support line is being upgraded and is not operating at this time. Sent an e-mail to support and still no response after three days. I recommend you test all of the strips before wasting time on an install. Ill be returning as even the strips that are working are very finnicky and disconnect / flicker with the slightest movement. Im very surprised this product got such positive reviews; maybe I just got a dud. Though I do notice that some reviews are for a different version of product (with a sensor to see the screen) - so they could be irrelevant to this lower quality version.

Nice Lights - Reset Issue / Warranty Honored
This is for the 8 piece segmented backlights fitting 45-75 inch TVs. The lights are bright and colorful. The app is intuitive. Pairing was easy. They integrate with Alexa. These are often on sale. Don't forget to save the reset pin that comes with your kit. (pic) If your home network changes you'll need to have the reset pin, or a straightened paperclip, to reconnect. I deducted one star because after buying a new router I could not reconnect to my home network. No matter which Sengled instructions I followed my backlights would not reset / enter pairing mode. I was ready to rate these at 1 star. But I contacted Sengled warranty support and found the company to be very responsive. I had to verify my purchase and answer a few tech questions but they swiftly made things right. It's genuinely a pleasure when you find a company that stands behind their product. I consider the issue I had to be a rare one and would gladly buy these again. Thank you, Sengled.

Lights!
Bought this product in hopes I could sync it to smartthings automation to have my other sengled bulbs dance with it. The default automation light follow didn't work. Have to find a second method. The light strip easy to install. Produces excellent lighting. The sengled home app syncs with smartthings with no issues. The light strip is well protected vs other light strips. This is now my second sengled light strip. First one is just a plain strip that sync to smart things. Overall sengled has wonderful products for reasonable prices. Only if they made some outdoor light strips.

Upgrade your TV with LED lights
Lights are very interesting addition to TV. LED strips are made of several pieces in various sizes. Idea is to allow these to be attached and fit your TV. Strips have two types of connectors, one on each end. One with pins exposed and one with holes. You connect pines with holes to hook them up. Pins are delicate and I had to use my reading glasses to make sure that I don't damage them. There is a main unit that acts as receiver for wifi and power and strips connect to that. Each strip is backed by a 3m adhesive tape which is great. It took us some effort to attach to TV as I have TV placed in a corner and hard to move it. Also I was afraid to bend strip too much, around corner of TV. As long as you are careful with sticking it to surface, you should be okay. As a product idea may be there needs to be corner pieces as connectors. If you have to bend strip, I would suggest to do that using smaller pieces of strip for bending. Strips are about 2mm thick. When they are lit they are barely visible. When they are unlit you could see them. I wish they came in black to blend it into TV body. Pairing was quick. Unlike hub, these pair directly to wifi. It is interesting to see a non zigbee product from Sengled in this scenario. Good thing is you can still use your sengled app to control it as well have these paired via sengled to Alexa or Google. Sengled needs to identify if these can be paired directly to a 3rd party hub without using their app. Overall intesting purchase. Could be great for a date night. One last note, when these are lit, all lights do get same color.

Beware! App no longer works for new users (Sengled home)
I couldn't set up an account on the required app. This company seems to have gone out of business and the servers that allow you to use voice commands and to integrate with Alexa have gone away You can turn them on and off with the switch

Mechanics worked wonderfully but better adhesive is needed.

Under Cabinet Lighting
Well I know these are made for a television but I actually used them in my kitchen under the cabinets. I had originally bought LED light strips on a roll from Sengled but they didn't work out due to the layout of my cabinets and for the fact that I didn't want to cut notches under my cabinets. These modular strips worked perfectly! I ended up buying two so that I could just easily plug them in without them being seen on each side. Sengled's app is great because you can group them together and control the whole room or individuals. Very easy to use and set up. Honestly, the hardest part about installation was probably just trying to pull the brown paper off the sticky part. I was worried at first because the description said no white but they do a few variations of white that I find acceptable. It's not a true white as it's RGB but it works and I'm particularly fond of the cool white.
