GREAT TV STAND/STORAGE SOLVER
I ordered this for the TV in the spare room. I also needed somewhere to store my CD's and DVD's (I have quite a few). The package arrived safely without any damage to its contents. I felt bad for the UPS man, who carried the 70 pound package into my house.I have put furniture together in the past, but after looking at the instructions, which said assistance is needed, I decided to leave the task to my handyman, who was scheduled to do some other work. The fact that glue came with it put me off, If I'd made a mistake I may have not been able to undo what I'd done.I was surprised at how quickly my handyman put it together, he said he didn't use the glue! I think I may have been able to have done it myself, but I'm glad he did it, it would have taken me a long time.My handyman put it against the wall with the TV on top. I had worried the TV would be too heavy, it wasn't a flat screen, I had also worried that the carpet may be a problem. I'm happy to report, that it appears to be very sturdy, and the carpet doesn't make it unstable. After my handyman left, I decided to put the stand in the corner of the room. I placed the heavy TV on something that unfortunately tipped over with the weight. The TV was not broken, but the antenna cable had ripped out of the back of the TV, damaging the place where the antenna goes in. I now need a new TV a bit sooner than planned! Be very careful if you have a heavy TV.I'm glad I bought the TV stand, it looks very nice. It has a glass door that is handy, as it will stop any dust getting in. I have solved the storage problem for the CDs and DVDs. I have them all on two of the shelves with some I don't use often behind the first row. The bottom shelf is free for phone books etc.I'm not in a hurry to buy a new TV, for now the TV stand is sitting pretty with flowers and a radio on the top. Eventually I'll buy a Bose radio to put on the top of the DVD player (on the top shelf). The DVD player is only 1 1/2" high, the Bose is 4" high. The top shelf of the TV stand has 6" of storage height. The actual storage width is 19". The glass door doesn't close over the top shelf, which (if it did) would not be a good design.Bose Wave Music System (Graphite Gray)This is more than a TV stand, it's a good looking, functional piece of furniture for lots of stuff. If I had to design a TV stand, I could not have done a better job.I'd been looking at this for a long time, I thought it would be too big. It does intrude a few inches in front of a window, but it doesn't look terrible and goes very nicely with my black computer table I bought in Walmart. The gray metal parts match the gray sides of the TV stand. The price was right. I'm going to post a picture of what it looks like now, I think it looks good!**UPDATE**I recently took all the DVDs and CDs out of this piece of furniture, and am using it to display my best china dinner and tea sets. I love the glass door, which keeps to dust out. On the top shelf, I still have my Bose radio. At the very top, I have some antique collections I bought on Ebay. It's looking very cosy in my spare room.

Great TV stand overall. Highly recommended!
I bought this product for a little entertainment setup that I have in my bedroom. The items that I have on it are a Samsung 40" TV (4034 class), a wireless home theater with sound bar (Samsung HW-J470), and an Xbox One.This TV stand is 31" tall from my carpeted floor to the highest surface and it is 31.25" wide at the front (widest part). It is also 20.5" wide at the back (shortest width). This item is intended to be placed at a corner, but I actually have it against a wall in front of my bed and it looks great to me.Putting this product together wasn't very hard either, I only needed a screw driver (cross-head). The rest is included. Also, make sure that you use the glue that is included when you put the wooden taps in the gray side panels.*Tip: I did not use all of the parts included. I intentionally left out the back wooden panel to allow better airflow for my electronics, and al also left out the front glass for the same purpose. I am also using only one of the additional shelves to give room to my subwoofer. The height of the top shelf (where the Xbox is located) is fixed. The two additional bottom shelves have 3 levels to adjust the height. The width of the shelves is 19" and the height of the top one is 6". The height of the bottom 3 is adjustable. The width of the electronics on display are as follow:TV base: 21" wideTV screen: 36.5" (40" diagonally)Sound bar: 37.5"Xbox one: 13"This product is very sturdy, the wood looks great, it doesn't look like cheap 3-layer plywood. It is easy to build and the price is reasonable. I hope my review was helpful, feel free to ask for additional details.

Good piece and a couple assembly tips.
This stand fill our needs and fit in a corner area very well. It is very sturdy and heavy with two moveable shelves. The open back makes dealing with cords from DVRs etc. very easy. We didn't install the door, so deleting that step made putting it together a little more streamlined.Assembly definitely requires two people and some good organization to make the process go well. We suggest identifying each part and each piece of hardware before starting assembly. The instruction book is all diagrams with no written instructions, which works well, but requires a lot of patience. The glue used in one of the steps was not very effective, since it didn't set up quickly to prepare for the next step. We would suggest using carpenter's glue, which is stronger and fast acting, as well as easily purchased. A power drill would also be helpful to secure the screws on the bottom shelf, since it takes a bit of strength to screw them into the shelf. Two senior citizens took two hours to assemble the piece.

great buy!
For $118 (plus $7 shipping) this is an excellent deal. The stand came intact and all the parts were easily identifiable. Assembly was fairly simple- it took about a hour to finish putting together the stand. In hindsight, I would have had someone help me put this together since the parts are difficult to hold together when attatching them to the baseWhen assembled, the stand looks sleek/definitely not cheap looking. One complaint I have is the design of the stand makes it difficult to hook up your components/consoles/cable boxes if their connections are located in the back/closer to the middle of the respective units. I plan to use this stand to only hold my components so I ended up putting my receiver on top of the stand. I can't imagine the headaches someone would get if they had to try and hook up their speaker wires around the stand's back panel. It may not be a big deal but it's worth noting that this unit's top shelf is fixed (~6inches in height) and that only the bottom 2 shelves are covered by the glassThe unit's been up for 5 days and no problems. I'm happy I made this purchase!
