Bad batch? Never again.
I bought four of these tubes. My tires has worn, so I replaced them. I figured I'd just replace the tubes too, they were as old as the worn out tires; never had a flat! First ride, major blowout in the rear. Tube ripped at the seam. I assumed I mounted wrong, even though I double checked as I always do that nothing was pinched, I have the benefit of the doubt. Ride 2, front goes flat. Must've picked up a thorn I think, unlucky. Ride 3, front goes flat AGAIN. Now I removed the tire and scrubbed it, surely a thorn wasn't left in there? So I grab the two leaking tubes (the blown out one was obvious), and put them under water. Lots of little air bubbles blowing out towards the surface from the seams. So I take the fourth right out of the box, put a little bit of air in it... And, you guessed it. It's leaking. At the seams. All four tubes were bad. All four had bad seams.Never again Continental.

I love my Continental Gatorskin tires
Man, these have given me a ton of trouble. They don't inflate uniformly all over-it gets lumpy and pinched near the valve which causes bumps/automatic flats. I love my Continental Gatorskin tires, but these tubes are subpar. Disappointing.

This was my second purchase of tubes and they are great however one tube is faulty and the first time airing it up to install, the tube ballooned in 3 different places and all the air leaked out.I will purchase more but I would like a refund or a new tube.

They are tubes
When pumped to 60 psi they will leak down over the course of a few weeks, but this isn't much of a problem hence the 4 stars.

I lucked out
I'm not one to look on the bright side, but my rear tube split along the seam (see the photo in the image gallery) on the way to work today and I really lucked out. I bought it from Amazon less than a month ago. The tire deflated immediately. I'm grateful-- It didn't happen at 35+ that I hit on part of the route-- I had a spare tube, albeit another Continental-- There was a sidewalk and raised curb, which are typically missing in this industrial area-- The weather was niceI think I'm going back to Sunlites.Update: my front tube failed today while climbing Bear Mountain, a NY state park. I saved it to do a post-mortem, which disclosed a leak at the base of the valve. Again, it is less than a month old and probably has 500 miles. Between the non-existent shoulder and heavy holiday traffic, plus the discouragement caused by continual tube failures, my Memorial Day was truly memorable. Thanks, Continental!

Two Stars
As some other reviews say, shoddy valve core. Tube itself is of high quality, though. (26 x 1.4-1.75)

Works fine for me
I am using this on my 85 bridgestone 700 after a tire blow out when filling them with air and being lazy so it was my fault that the original tubes tore at the base of the valve. My wheel setup consist of mavic ma2 wheels under specialized turbo tires and took me maybe 5 minutes to swap out the tubes. Now they did what they said they would do... hold air!!!!! woot woot but there is one thing you have to make sure you do when filling up the tube with air, push the valve into the tire so that the valve tube(metal) is the only part that makes contact with the edge of the valve hole and not where the tube and valve mate. That alone will avoid most of you guys blowing a hole on first blow up.hope that helps everyone else but why 4 stars??? just because they should beef up where the tube and valve meet.Edit 6/3/14Got new tubes this season and I've got about 150 miles down so far while riding today I got a flat. :( I got the tire out and it split at a seam. I'm dropping it down to 3 stars because of inconsistency since this is my second blow out this season while the last set went for well over 1000 miles.
