getting this book on line meant that I did not have to search and carry it home from abroad. This is the series I look for when ever I travel because of the clear pictures, descriptions and extras they have.

Fantastic Pics on Rome, worth a buy.

Art and History of RomeExcellent guide to Rome area by area with coverage of all of the must see sights. Unfortunately the large format makes it impossible to carry around easily but any reduction in size would ruin the quality of the illustrations. Best to do your homework before setting out on your explorations.
