Positive so far, using to protect laptop from misplacement. Sleek and feature rich.
Just attached the CUBE Shadow to my tablet PC, HP Elite X2 12”, and did a bit of testing around home. Favorable results and overall impression so far.Chose the CUBE Shadow for three key features:1. Very thin (2.5 mm installed). Essential for adhering to the back of my tablet. See pics.2. Disconnect warning. While I rarely leave my phone anywhere, really wanted something to alert me if I leave my lappy in a restaurant or someone’s office, which is something I HAVE done in the past.3. Rechargeable with a decent battery life. Had a gen 1 TrackR on my keys, was OK, but never knew when the battery died and therefore needed to replace it, and learned that was not something I wanted to deal with. Results so far:+Setup. Simple, worked right away. Downloaded the CUBE app (Android, Galaxy S8), pressed and held the button for 5 sec. on the Shadow, and the connection was completed quickly. App applied a Firmware Update to the Shadow (1.07) immediately and automatically. This is something I like to see, says the developers are still learning and improving.+Disconnect alert, my primary interest. Worked perfectly, when I walked more than a room away from my tablet while holding my phone, the app would lose connection to the Shadow, and within about 4-5 seconds, sound an alert (a ring tone that I set in the app settings, one I don’t use for anyone else, so I would know it is the Shadow). Another key feature of the disconnect alert is the Safe Zones setting, so that you will NOT get an alert when phone is connected to a specific WiFi SSID. Set this for my home WiFi, and it worked as intended. This way, I can leave the app and Shadow on all the time, and when I leave home with both phone and tablet, will automatically activate the disconnect alert without having to remember or take any action. This seems just about ideal, will have to see how it works over time.+Finding the Shadow from the CUBE app within the house. Again, worked immediately, sounded the ring tone on the Shadow when within about 30 feet. Not super loud but could hear it OK in my quiet house. Beyond 30 feet, had to walk around until the app connected with the Shadow, which is indicated by a green circle and the Find button becomes active. While the connection updates take a few seconds, if you walk slowly and keep an eye on the app display, you can tell when you’re getting closer once the connection is made. The whole time the Map showed exact address where I was doing the testing, which is encouraging. While I would not expect to have to find my laptop this way when out and about, it’s nice to have given my house is kind of spread out.+Ring my Phone from the Shadow. Again, worked right away when within about 30 feet. Double press on the Shadow button and my phone rang and flashed. Couldn’t miss it. Not something I expect to use a lot, but also nice to have for the occasional misplaced phone at home.Caveats:-Had to modify phone settings to allow CUBE app to run in background and to be exempt from Android power management. The app prompted me to apply these settings, which was great. Both are OK with me for now given the benefits I’m looking for. Time will tell on the power use and battery drain.-Must have your phone and the app running in order for the CUBE to connect or be found. If you misplace the CUBE+device with your phone OFF, you’re now dependent on the CUBE crowd source feature for finding. As of today (1/25/2019) the Android app only had 10k downloads, so I’m not expecting much crowd source finding capability just yet. Still, I hope that this does develop, the crowd source finding covers several situations where the CUBE and your phone would be out of range, i.e., someone walking away with your protected device. I’m counting more on the cellular connection in my tablet and Microsoft’s Find my Device service should my laptop be stolen.Net, and preliminarily, positive results given my main need, which is to be warned if I inadvertently walk away from my trusty lappy out in the wild. Will test on upcoming road trip and update with any new findings.

Charger problems
Nightmare to charge. Had problems charging this since purchased. No lights. Won't charge. Tried mains and pc. Good gadget if works! Possibly faulty charger but can't buy on its own and I cant afford whole new kit. Really disappointed. Stuck now with something that doesn't work.

The Thin tracker is a Life Saver
I have a notebook that I keep my life in - ongoing projects, ideas for future projects, random gift ideas, etc. A couple of months ago, I left my book at some store and couldn't find it. I didn't remember where I left it and so it was gone. Devastating. I decided I needed something to prevent me from doing that again. I searched for quite a while to find a tracker that could alert me to when I leave my notebook behind. The Cube Ultra Thin Tracker is small enough to fit in the back pocket of my new notebook without causing a bulge or being damaged when I close the book and stuff it in my purse. I'm so happy that I'll never suffer the loss of my notebook again.
