Kiss the Girls (1997) (BD) [Blu-ray]

Silly Hollywood dreck
FBI agents and high ranking cops allow an unarmed citizen to accompany them on dangerous raids. A trained detective almost gets run down by a car because it never occurs to him to shoot out the tires. A serial killer captures young women and keeps them in a underground basement that looks like something out of a 1930's horror movie. A key clue to finding the bad guy involves handwriting, but nobody bothers to check it out. A stove is leaking from the gas line, but the two people in the room just sit there and breathe it, no problem.I could go on and on.Even Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd can't save this loser.

Might be the best Alex Cross movie
Kiss The Girls was a psychological crime drama based upon a book of the same name written by James Patterson using one of his favorite characters Alex Cross. It featured Morgan Freeman as Detective Cross and Ashley Judd as Dr. Kate McTiernan. Cross is brought in to investigate a series of mysterious kidnappings that included his niece. Later Dr. McTiernan is kidnapped as well but escapes. Together Cross and McTiernan hunt down the suspect who calls himself Casanova. The introduction to the movie lays out who Cross and McTiernan are dealing with. Casanova is a psychopath who observes women, kidnaps them, then psychologically tortures them, rapes and kills some of them. Most importantly he’s a collector of women. The viewer gets a close up look at his work when McTiernan is kidnapped and held in a dungeon type setting with many other women. The movie is a great mix of drama, police procedure, and action. It lays out how bad the villain is. Cross is the expert who sifts through the evidence and sees things others don’t. Then there’s the chase after Casanova. It's all very well done and might be the best adaptation of any of the Alex Cross books.C

Don't miss out this movie - highly recommended.
The plot is weaved in an excellent way. Morgan Freeman is at his best. The action is pretty good too. What impresses me the most is the plot with twists. It might sound a bit slow to some people, yet one should not miss every single details of the movie because they are all inter-related. Splendid movie with a great plot and Morgan Freeman's acting.

I guess you had to be there for this one?
I remember this having a lot of buzz when it came out, and after finally catching up with it I can't really say I can see why. Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd do have interesting chemistry, but it wasn't really enough to liven up what seemed to me like a rather dull and generic thriller. Felt almost like a Lifetime movie that somehow got an upgrade to feature film status. Some other tidbits: if you're at all familiar with 90s actors, the mere presence of one supporting role will give away the entire game for you! Also the kidnapper sounds like Kylo Ren from Star Wars.

If you've never watched the movie, read the book first.
I'm a bit amazed to see all of these negative reviews about this movie, especially because I don't know what people expect watching a movie that's over 20 years old. I'll agree that it starts off a bit slow and has some minor errors, but it does get better. It's not a horror movie, it's a crime-thriller based off the James Patterson novel. Unless you've read it, it's going to be a bit difficult keeping up with the plot. I've watched this movie many times in the past, and it's not that terrible. My family had the DVD years ago until it was damaged somehow, so I decided to re-order it for myself. All I can really say is that if you like the author James Patterson, it might be easier to read the book first before you watch it. I think the movie has a great cast, Ashley Judd really got into her character for it. But if you're a heavy critic expecting a perfect movie, then I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Excellent Adaptation of Patterson's Book!
Morgan Freeman makes this movie believable and an effective film portrayal of Patterson's second Alex Cross story. Liked the focused simplicity of the film over the book's often distracting backstories.Excellent supporting cast of characters and location filming adds much to this suspenseful drama even if you've read the book or previously seen the movie.

Kiss the Girls
Hello Everyone, I know this is an older movie, but it is one of my all time favorite Morgan Freeman movies. Ashley Judd was no push over either. The actors in this movie all played their parts to a tee. I absolutely loved it! If you are into suspense and mystery you will too. Enjoy ^_^.

BAD PRINT
This was a very bad print. Many times the dialogue was not present, other times there was no video, and most of the time when both were working they were not coordinated. This was an exceedingly bad experience and one of the few times we have had bad luck with Amazon Prime. We recommend against renting this video.

KISS THE GIRLS
A wonderful adaption of James Patterson's book of the same name. Morgan Freeman play Alex Cross a psychologist / detective. a very sleek and knowledgeable man.The plot is a deranged killer is on the loose, targeting beautiful talented women, it becomes personal when Alex Cross's Niece becomes one of the 'collectors' harem. There are many twist and turns which keep you just sitting on the edge of your seat, there are also some unexpected surprises. A definite for psychological thriller fans

A real student of the game. And he likes to play.
This guys a collector. I think I have seen this movie about 20 times or more and its a very good thriller with some great performances mostly from judd as I found myself completely engaged throughout as she didn't deserve what happens to her but shes a survivor would be interesting to see her character again and a retired freeman in a sequel to this as I loved the characters.
