Does it still smell awful in 2023

I have never noticed it ever smelling awful!! I like it for the bleach!!!

Does the bleach in this product kill bacteria as chlorine in bleach products?

No, it is a non chlorine bleach. It really gets whites white though. I use it with a little bit of chlorine bleach for items I want sanitized like dishclothes.

Why is this so much more expensive than what I am used to paying for it at Walmart or the local grocery store?

Their volume of sales allows them to offer a better price. I don't always find it and find even lower prices on line plus free quick delivery .
