Great in cooking
This stuff is excellent. A lil stanky, and the packaging is thorough for freshness. I use it in my broths for seitan- and have a few other ideas for it. It’s also great in beans or lentils! Will look dry and weird and covered in salt. Use scissors for the best/easiest cut. Haven’t wrapped anything in this. Is a great flavor additive.

WTF grew on it overnight??
Before I say anything else, I want to say that I do not believe there is anything exactly "wrong" with this seaweed... but I'm not sure what is going on with it.First, it is exactly as described. Beautiful big pieces in the bag and seems very fresh (although obviously dried lol). Here's the odd thing... and it probably won't happen to anyone else because most likely I'm the only one who bought it for this purpose. I bought it to feed my crayfish. I wanted something more natural than the processed seaweed you usually find, since my crayfish is wild-caught and I doubt she would have come across roasted seaweed in the pond she was living in. This might be from the sea instead of a freshwater pond like the crayfish is, but at least it's raw. I cut off a piece, rinsed the excess salt off thoroughly, and put it in her tank on the "veggie clip". She was ecstatic and went to work on it right away. The next day, I found that something I could not identify had appeared on the seaweed. I am including a picture of it. If you zoom in you can see that it is a sort of donut-shaped gelatinous blob made of lots of tiny little dots. Does anyone have any idea WTF this thing is???It is NOT eggs from my fish, before you ask. I only have male livebearers, no female egglayers. And crayfish don't lay eggs on objects, they carry them, and they are much bigger than this anyway.OMG this thing has creeped me out! Did I just introduce some sort of parasite into my aquarium?? Is that what it is? Eggs for some kind of critter?? Or is it an organism unto itself?? It is so weird!!! HELP!I'm freaking out a little because my crayfish was already not particularly strong, after a bad molt recently, so anything like that could be really dangerous. But other than that, would totally buy this again.

It’s moldy and it’s half as much as advertised.
It’s moldy I got half as much as I paid for. I highly recommend looking for a better company.

It's "Mermaid Magic"! ;)
Ok, this kelp has some kind of nutrient in it that my body needed, i've tried another kelp product in powdered form and also the dulse seaweed, but both of them made me have gut issues...THIS ONE IS GOOD.Anxiety goes away after eating, helps me cough up stubborn phlegm, makes me feel a bit more energetic...Some good minerals here and i may have had Iodine deficiency (as they say most people do)...The taste is a salty, clean, sea flavor and has a chewiness from dehydration... imagine kale jerky that isn't bitter and taste somewhat of the ocean...Surprisingly, a little goes a long way, although i am definitely planning on ordering another package soon!:D

Loved the product and fast shipping. Will buy again. It was perfect for the soup stock I made.

Needed it for a new recipe
I ordered this because I was trying a new recipe that called for it. I don’t think I’m a fan. There was nothing wrong with the product itself, I just have taste and texture sensitivities. Maybe I cooked it wrong or maybe I prepared it wrong before cooking it. But now I feel like I just have a whole bunch of extra that I’m never going to use.

Great discovery!
Normally I buy kombu from a local Asian market with products coming mainly from China which always made me nervous to buy because of pollution issues and unpredictable quality of the product. I was attracted to your product since it was grown domestically in pristine waters and was properly regulated. I made a batch of pinto beans with your kombu and they turned our great. Your kombu gave the beans a better flavor and I actually ate the remaining simmered kombu by itself. Delicious!
