All Steel Toyota Filter Socket
Should have bought this filter wrench a long time ago. The aluminum one I had been using for 8 years was stripping my filter cartridge yesterday and had me in a panic. Bought this Tool Guy Republic chrome steel socket and used it today. The socket is 22mm deep and got a better bite on the now cracked plastic cartridge housing. My 1/2” ratchet broke it free and saved the day. Had to replace the cartridge today because it was cracked. Here are some pictures of the setup. Using on 2016 Toyota Tundra & 2010 RAV4.

Perfect Toyota oil filter wrench
Absolutely the best Toyota/Lexus oil filter wrench out there. Just like the blue point. Doesn't stick, won't break them, even if jiffy lube/Valvoline/Walmart or your dealer's lube tech hacks installed to 300ft lbs. Only complaint is it's 1/2 inch, would prefer 3/8 but that's just me.

Works on all Toyota filter housings.
This is the second one of this type filter tool that I bought for the shop. It works on every Toyota filter housing, much better than the tools that have the cutouts.I bought this one because I have keep looking for first one I bought. The guys in the shop like using it too so I have to hunt it down whenever I need it.

Perfect fit worth the money
I first tried one of the cheap knockoffs that have the slots for the fins on the assembly. All that succeeded in doing was breaking the fins off my assembly. I upgraded to this tool and it fit perfectly on the 14-sided assembly and I was easily able to crack it loose on the vehicle with no damage to anything. It wasn't cheap, but I love the peace of mind in knowing I have a tool that works as well as the OEM. I wish I would have just bought this one in the first place. Steer clear of the cheaper tools that have the three-plus-three slots in the edge for the fins. The fins are NOT intended to bear the torque of removing the assembly from your vehicle and they will break if given the chance.

Oil Filter Removal Tool - 2012 Scion IQ Owner
This tool is a must have. I bought 2 filter removal tools from local Auto Parts stores and both bent or tore. I bought this tool looks awesome, very well made, solid non-viewable welds. Worked like a charm from over tightening of canister. Would definitely buy this again, it's such a well made tool.
