It comes with a protector, which is a good thing, as it's very sharp.I've used it for Parmesan cheese and lemon zesting at the moment, both of which it works well at. The Parmesan comes out light and fine.Note that the grating is very fine, so it probably wouldn't work well with something softer like Cheddar cheese, as it could get a bit bunged up, so we use a coarser grater for that.

It’s very light and easy to hold, the extra sheath that allows you to cover the blade when it is being stored or flipped to catch the zest when using is amazing. The little brush helps with cleaning so you don’t need to worry about cutting yourself as it is so sharp. Makes easy work of citrus fruit and frozen ginger

I have only recently received the grater so I can’t comment except that it arrived in a nice box (so if you were giving as a present that’s a plus). I think the grater will be very efficient. I wanted the catcher attachment & that also seems good. The quality is pleasing. I’m optimistic that I will be very pleased with this product. Thank you.

Excellent. Sharp . Really like the cover as it keeps it sharp.

The product works well and fits nicely in the band. It grates quite efficiently (you need to be careful not to get to the pith when zesting limes for example). It does need the brush to clean as things get stuck in the teeth.
