You could. There are holes but you don’t need laces. They stay on just like they had laces.

How do these compare to the brand Toms? Is the sizing similar?

I bought a pair of toms and quickly turned them over to the consignment shop because they did not support my feet. I bought a pair of keds two summers ago and absolutely love them, wear them often. They provide better support. They do tend to run small though

Is the charcoal color almost like black?
