Dr. Martens Women's Beckett Boot

Doc Marten boots allowed me to walk when injury and surgery to my “over-danced” feet simply couldn’t on their own. I wish someone with similarly ‘odd’ anatomy had written a review like this, hence the detail and length. My online shopping would have been far easier. I'm a 58-year-old woman, a Dancer since I had to reach way up for the Ballet Barr (about 3.) Like many Dancers; my feet are weird; long, narrow, muscular, ultra-high arch, with bizarrely huge calve muscles (point shoes don’t stand up on their own.) I'm writing the same review for this mid-calf D.M. canvas top boot (Beckett) as a D.M. leather ankle boot (Bryoni.) I bought the ankle boot 1 day after the D.M. Beckett arrived. It will be wonderful (with added arch support) after some weeks of letting the surgery heal longer for Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, while the D.M. leather ankle boot (Bryoni) lets me walk now – 4 days after my surgeon cut me loose to get out of bed (and off my ever-widening butt) and begin to regain strength and flexibility -- and will be worn for years thereafter (with added high arch supports) I had tried on every pair of shoes in my closet with excruciating pain, (even my trusty Harley boots I'd' worn for years before my feet feet fell apart) yet my surgeon told me continued walking on bare feet would slow healing and damage my feet. Hence, the hunt for ANYTHING that would allow me to walk with proper support, and eventually regain Dancer strength and flexibility. I knew Dr. Martens could “hold my feet up.” I didn’t know if they’d fit or allow just enough flexibility to begin walking normally and do a bit of modified Ballet Barr work. The Byoni does that now. The D.M. Beckett will after the incisions to relieve pressure on several sections of my Tibial nerve heal more. -- and cute enough for skirts as we'll as jeans. I suggest those 'over the knee' socks for winter and skirts. For now, rubbing the nerve track – as the Beckett does -- at all causes pain that drives me to bed, as the nerves in my lower legs and feet are irritated and still healing from the surgery to relieve pressure on them. I Danced; Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and some attempts at Street Dance, primarily Krump appx 6-9 hrs/day, until my feet simply fell apart at about age 53. After 4-5 years of ‘pushing through the pain’ led to my feet and ankles barely letting me get out of bed long enough to go the bathroom, I had surgery to relieve pressure on nerves in my lower legs and feet, 3 long incisions on each side. Then came the waiting for the surgery itself to heal. Now, I am getting a bit more mobile, flexible and stronger each day and D.M. boots are key to it. China or the UK; Dr. Marten shoes and boots are some of the toughest, resilient and versatile footwear made today. … in my humble opinion.

I have not purchased a pait of Dr Martens in a decade. But these beautiful boots just lingered in my head. The design is very unique. They look really cool, even for a short gal like me. I have wide feet and they fit me really well with my Typical Dr.Martens size. I wore them twice before breaking them, now it's become comfy.

Bought these for my daughter and was pleased with the purchase. Shipping was very reasonable and arrived when they said. My daughter just loves them. Exactly as expected. She is US size 8, ordered and received UK size 6 F (M). Fit was great. Would definitely order again.

These run a little larger than the several other doc boots I have but the next smaller size would be too small I think so a thicker pair of socks should solve the problem. I love them.

Absolutely in love with everything doc martens! I've worn these twice and everyone I come across *must* know where I got my beautiful boots! :) Can't wait to get all colors!

Wore them once when it hit 50 degrees outside. Looking forward to wearing them again as the weather warms up. Canvas instead of leather which should help carry them into summer.

Returned this item. I thought it was leather but it was canvas. I oedered a diferent model, same size. I love Dr. Martens shoes.

Love that Dr Martens have such an array of different patterns! I must have at least fifteen pairs!

Das sind meine ersten Doc Martens und ich bin total begeistert, nicht nur dass der Versand von UK nach Malta einen Tag dauerte da die Firma GMDC Global Ltd mit DHL Express versendet, die Schuhe fühlen sich hochqualitativ an und sehen in echt viel besser aus als auf dem Foto, die Farben sind toll und die Textiloberfläche ist sehr robust. Die sind super bequem, obwohl man mir sagte man müsse die erst einlaufen. Komischerweise sind die von Anfang an sehr bequem. Die Nähte versprechen Stabilität und ich freue mich jetzt schon, damit auf die Strasse zu gehen.

j ai bien reçu mes doc elles sont très belles comme sur la description ..je n'ai plus mal aux pieds je suis trop bien dedans ......elles sont en tissus donc souple pas de bobos ......j'adore mes doc ..... en plus je suis sur de ne pas les voir .jusqu'à présent je n'ai v u personne avec les mêmes et c'est ce que j 'aime ........

Bezogen auf die Schuhgröße passt dieser Schuh wirklich optimal, jedoch ist er von der Weite sehr eng. Da es sich um Canvas handelt, denke ich auch nicht, dass er sich noch weiten wird. Vom Design und von den Farben wunderschön, für mich sind allerdings die Schnürsenkel (Art Satin) noch sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Für den reduzierten Preis allerdings unschlagbar!!! Lieferung mit 7 Werktagen relativ zügig.
