I tried this product just recently and found it to be quite helpful. I am, by no means whatsoever, anything more than just a DIY hobby guy who likes to do this kind of work by himself. While I recognize that a tile floor does not have to be exactly level, it does need to be exactly FLAT to get a good look. This system really makes that quite easy to do. Not completely "idiot proof", but pretty close. I used this on 6" X 24" porcelain tiles and the result was pretty impressive and MUCH easier to work with than the traditional spacers. It is considerably more expensive than using traditional spacers, but, to me, was well worth it. You'll likely need more of these than you might originally think. I would also agree with the critical reviews about the size of these particular spacers. They certainly do space the tiles greater than a typical 1/16" spacer would. But, knowing that from the start of the job, I was able to deal with that in my layout. Quite frankly, I don't know if I would even attempt to lay another tile floor without these.

I am a contractor that specializes in bathroom and kitchen remodeling. I do lots of tile work. Priceless. Takes the aggravation out of leveling, especially on larger and rectified tiles. The pliers are handy too. One tip: be diligent about keeping thinset out of joints. Excess mortar prevents clean spacer breaks and it is difficult to cut/remove uneven pieces that remain. It is especially risky when using electric radiant floor heat underneath, plus tile chipping can occur if not careful. Definitely facilitates professional results. I will continue to use on all tile jobs! Wish it was a little cheaper though!

Used this product for the first time. Very easy to use. You will need to by the tool that is used to tighten the wedges. The red wedges are reausable and the white spacers are used once. You will need a lot more spacers than you think. When I was tiling I ran out of spacers amd wedges and had to wait to order more. Also the spacing is a lot wider than listed. It is more like 1/8 than 1/16

Very good system, This kit was sufficient for me to do a 8'x5' bathroom walls using mostly 12"x24" large format tiles. There were plenty extra when I was done. Granted the tiles are large so I needed to use less T- Locks in comparison to using smaller tiles in a same size bathroom tile install. However these leveling systems are needed even more when using larger format tiles, larger tiles are harder to level to each other. Using the T-Locks don't exactly just magically level off your tiles during installation, proper effort must still be made in mixing and applying the mortar correctly on each tile and on a plumb wall. Effort must also be made in adjusting the tiles to each other. Mostly this system will help in slight adjustments and keeping the tiles relatively flat/level to each other while setting the tiles, these will also prevent lippage while the tiles are drying. Overall these T-locks work very well for my application, the wedges are large and beefy which works very well with the 12"x24"x10mm porcelain tiles I used them with. The wedges can also be used as spacers. The slim end of the wedges has steps which are conveniently makes with the thickness of each step, so using them as spacers were convenient and easily use when needed. The T-Lock itself is sturdy as well, but has a slim profile which makes for easy and less cumbersome placement of the T-Locks under the tiles, this is especially important when less mortar is used under the tiles, no issues with sliding the T-locks under the tiles and into place. In comparison, I had used a different system (purchased at a local HD) in a previous tile install and it was difficult to use because of the thick and awkward profile of the "T". The overall size of the "T" and wedge was very small and therefore not sturdy enough for large format tiles.This T-Lock system was easy to use and very helpful in my tile installation. The completed tile install were relatively very level to each other. I also ordered a pair of pliers to use with this system but found that it was just easier and faster to set the wedges by hand. The pliers were not necessary.I did find that there are certain things to keep an eye on, excess mortar oozing from the grout lines while setting the tiles. Mortar that gets between the T-lock spacer in the grout lines and between the tile edge can throw off the size of the grout lines that is desired, especially noticeable when the install requires very thin grout lines 1/16 or less. Also dried excess mortar that oozed around the T-lock will not break off cleanly when it's time to remove.Differently recommend this system if installing larger tiles.

I researched several competitive tile leveling systems before settling on the T-Lock system. I made a conscious choice to pay a bit more for this system (including its more expensive consumable clips) because several reviewers said it was worth the premium. Although I have not used any competitive products, I am pleased with the performance of the T-Lock system, and would recommend it to a friend. As noted by several previous reviewers, the clips are durable and difficult to break, until you need to break them off after the tile has set. One sharp hammer blow is then usually sufficient to create a clean break. The product has performed up to my expectations. I am pleased with the purchase.

So, all the reviews here are 100% right. If you aren't super clean with your grout lines when it comes to thinset these will be a pain to remove, which is going to happen if you aren't a professional. I had to buy a $90 dremel with a thinset blade and dremel all the groutlines where the spacers were stuck. Then I had to use a hammer and chisel to pry it out. Ended up going to home depot and just purchasing a $1 bag of spaces which did the exact same with less hassle. BUT they do work very well to level the tile out, for a first timer, I think my DIY project turned out pretty nice.

Great product and easy to use. Makes tile laying easy for someone who hasn’t ever done it before. Wish it came with more in it as I had to purchase another 100 of the red levelers and another bag of spacers. But if you can afford it it’s worth it for the results. I had a buddy that lays tile and he couldn’t believe this was my first tile job. Everything spaced evenly and no kickers popping up.

Work well just don’t get too much adhesive around them as they won’t break off cleanly and you have to cut the excess out to grout

The T-Loc pliers was bought separately for $45 (not included). The wedges are superior quality; not like the cheaper versions out there which are about 1/2 the size and strength. You get what you pay for. I haven't tried these yet, but I'm sure they will the tile installation go like a breeze. I recommend getting the T-Loc pliers as well (not the cheap $20 ones you see elsewhere). This system can be used over and over again. This is what the professionals use.

Stop reading the reviews and just buy it! I read an abundance of reviews before buying this and it is worth every penny.One recommendation is that you should buy the wedge clamp that helps you push the wedge into the spacer. I did not buy it, but I will for sure next time. My fingers were in pain doing it by hand, and I have pretty strong hands.I did an entire bathroom floor of 10x5 and an alcove area of 11x4 with one kit, and I still have more leftover. I'll will buy this for every tile job I ever do in my future.

Loved this, easy and results were very good.Keep edges clean from any motar and they snap off properly. Seen a lot of complaints that they don't.I had 3 that I needed to cut out on a entire tub surround to ceiling.Definitely would recommend & use again
