The item way ahead of time Thnku Review: I have taught science since 1980 and been a private tutor for the past 10 years. The next 9 - 1 syllabus is harder than previous exams. This book is almost essential if you want to do well. There are other textbooks by Hodder and CGP which do not seem as detailed and thorough. what I particularly like is the large number of worked examples, these help so much in understanding and practice. There are also a lot of questions at the end of each chapter and again at the end of each section. I would buy this book simply for the worked examples and questions. If you can do those you will be very well prepared for the exams. The reading is more challenging, less attractively laid out than say the textbooks by Hodder or CGP. If a student might find it too hard then my next recommendation would by the CGP textbooks or Hodder
