It is very, very important to make sure that either the BIOS is updated by the manufacturer, the person you are buying it from has it updated to the latest, or that it is an X570 (since all of those series are compatible out of the box). X570 series boards are power hungry, so plan accordingly if you go the more expensive/fancy route. See if the seller (Amazon, etc) has the 3000 series listed as compatible for the board. If so, you may still need a older processor to do a BIOS update. Without an older processor on hand, I will recommend Amazon because if they list it as 3000 series ready and updated, but it arrives without those updates to the BIOS, it can be easily returned for one that is sent as advertised.
