I can’t really review the product itself, as the first day I had it, the adhesive didn’t hold on to the unit, so it’s gone. Bought it to put on my garbage can to remind me to take out he trash, seemed to work well enough, for the price you would think you would have a little peace of mind with the adhesive disk.

I'm using this iBeacon under iOS 14 (in my case, for use with Pushcut). Unlike other beacons that I have tested—my Blue Charm Beacon works absolutely flawlessly, right out of the box. I love this beacon!Most users won't need to configure their beacon, however, for those that do, there is a companion App Store app that allows you to do so, including—but not limited to—viewing and editing the UUID, major and minor values.Finally, there is a well-written Quick Start Guide that is tremendously useful. It covers everything that one would need to know, from the ground up, without it being too long or too boring.This is a great product, with a great supporting app, great documentation and great customer service. The Blue Charm Beacons have my highest possible recommendation—as someone who has tested beacons from many other manufacturers.

I'm using this beacon in conjunction with room-assistant and Home Assistant to do a couple nifty things. I use the distance readings to determine if my trash & recycle bins are at the house or at the street so that I can send reminders if it's trash/recycle day and they haven't been put out. Using the motion sensing, I determine when each can has been emptied so that I can bring them back in.I also put one on the inside of my mailbox door so that I can determine when mail has been delivered.These have been reliable and flexible and were easy to program.

I was primarily interested in the button functionality and assumed it was circle in center when it actually is a very small button on it's side. It is so small that it defeats the purpose of using the button to perform anything meaningful. I wanted to use the button functionality as cheap way to use it as a lap timer but there are a few issues with using it for that use case. The first is that the smallest interval it advertises after a key press is 10 seconds, so if you need to press it again before 10 seconds it won't work.

This little guy just works. But the what really stands out is the customer service. They are great. I do have to echo another review. the puck's button function is not a soft button on one of the large round sides (what you might think is the top or bottom) instead its a reuse of the on/off button that is on the side. This small fact caused me an embarrassingly long time to figure out.

Nice beacon. Very fast and helpful email support from Thomas after I wanted to do something that this was not enabled for. I bought another model beacon from blue charm and that worked out well too. Will definitely buy again when I come up with more use cases for it.
