Pet Safe Ssscat Spray Deterrent

The spray is effective and works for keeping the cat away. However is very overpriced and not worth the money. Furthermore, it lasted only 3 days, the spray is already out. Not worth it.

I have a senior cat who stopped using his litter box 10 years ago in favor of going to the bathroom outside. Recently he has decided that he would rather not go out in cold and rainy weather so has been going on the carpet. I bought a new litter box an put it in the area he was going in, he ignored it and pooped next to it. This device has worked quite well in keeping him from soiling the carpet, with a few exceptions when it was raining heavily and I guess he would rather be scared by this device than get wet going outside. I expected to hear this thing going off every 5 minutes for the rest of my life but after a short time the animals mostly learned to stay away. My poor dog who is terrorized by the cat is absolutely terrified of this device, I think because it sounds like the cat hissing. Overall I am very pleased with this item and have seen great results. I have not had the experience of having it go off all the time so needing the canister replaced often as some other reviews have mentioned, probably because the area affected is in a corner behind my dining table and people are not walking around back there all the time.

My cat found a place behind a corner living room chair that he used as a litter box. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of (sprays, scents, aluminum foil, blocking the area) and nothing worked. I lost sleep at night because I thought I could hear him pulling the carpet and even then it would too late. I bought a few of these devices and they worked WONDERS. They don't work well at night but all it took was for my cat to pass by and get sprayed by the air compressor a time or two and he never tried again. If he finds another spot I just put in another device and remove it/turn it off if it's in a public area and I have company over. The price is definitely worth the peace of mind!

It worked like a charm the first 2 nights. But maybe it goes through the batteries quickly. I figured 4 aaa batteries would last more than a couple of nights but it didn’t seem to. It worked, stopped my cat from meowing at my door in the middle of the night after the first night of getting sprayed a couple of times. But after about 3-4 days my cat tried again and that’s when I discovered it stopped working at some point within a couple of days of only being on for about 8 hours at night. Would be 5 stars if it worked consistently

I purchased this, naturally to keep cats away from plants. Put it together per instructionsPut batteries in, no action except when installing the top on the bottle. Cats walked around it no action, every once in awhile it would just go off with nothing around it, examined it moved it across objects changed batteries, still nothing. Called the company that supplied it, got telephone number of maker. I called and explained the problem, good customer service, immediately shipped me another, received it, same problem $40 is pretty expensive for this item especially afterFinding that they don’t work. Not sure what is wrong it is very simple as per the limited instructions to set up. Just does not work.After speaking to a company rep and explaining the problem again, was treated nicely by the lady, who then ordered me another set. It arrived yesterday and put it together, and it works sporadically, I don’t know if it’s the sensor or the switch. I put it together very carefully and don’t know what you could do differently. Still works every once in a while which is better than the others that didn’t work at all. A lot of money for not much success.

Update... I had to stay up to get ahold of them(not by phone it was pointless) but thru the online support and they were very helpful and will be sending me the newer version under free under the 1 year warranty.It does really work to deter my cats.. When it works. So I am hopeful this replacement I get will be all good ☺️Stopped working after 2 days. Can't just return it. Have to go thru the website. I work nights and they don't chat when I can. Frustrating.
