I also feel they are super absorbent. I think the only time we had a pee-pee mess I didn't have it tight enough and it snuck out the leg hole. We have maybe only had a poopie mess twice and it might have come out of the tail hole just a smidge but the other diaper caught that. One last tip, be aware that the tail hole might be too wide for your baby, which can lead to a mess. I found what works for my pup is taking a panty liner and covering up about half of the width of the tail hole with it so that there is a snug fit now. Without doing this you can see her tushy and then it's only a matter of time before a mess!
