Vatican II Weekday Missal

Currently living overseas, we have made use of this missal (along with the Vatican II Sunday missal) nearly everyday for the past two years. Yes, it is large but not cumbersome as some reviewers have said. We have taken it with us on all of our travels, making non-English Masses more meaningful. Just throw it in our backpack with our other things. I think it is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to become more familiar with the Bible (the weekday readings cover much of the Bible over the two year cycle) vs. what they can hear only on Sundays. Highly recommend!

True to its name, it is a Weekly Missal (Monday through Saturday); for Sundays' needs, Vatican II has a separate Missal, as does the St. Joseph Edition. This missal is slightly larger than the Roman Missal  Daily Missal 1962, Flexible Cover, Burgundy colour  but much easier to follow and does not include the Latin for the Episals, Gospels, and the Parts of the Mass. In Vatican II Missal there is less need to skip around to follow the mass, the layout is as close to perfect as possible. The daily insight at the beginning of each day's mass, makes for a meditative experience. Highly recommended for those who wish to follow the mass on a day to day basis and great for Lectors.

I purchased this Missal and the description said it had a zipper case but it does not have it so it is miss leading You, this is the second item I have bought that the description is miss leading.

This Missal was given to a friend and he like it.He uses it on weekdays everytime he goes to church to hear mass.Now he said he can fully participate during the mass liturgy.Thank you Amazon.com for having this item on line.I highly recommend this missal to devoted catholics who attends the weekday masses.God bless us all.

Received in good condintion and fast delivery Easy to read and I am still learning to using it. The calendar ends this year.

Good book

yes, this missal is big. Its is very thick, but it does serve its purpose. I don't use it at Mass, as I use another form of Missal, but this is a nice book to have for home review.

Excellent Missal for Catholics or any Christian. Has commentary for each of the daily readings.Gives background on the state of Christianity at the time of each reading, as well as commentary on each gospel.Well worth the price.

I LIKED THIS MISSAL VERY MUCH INDEED, IT WAS MY PARISH PRIEST WHO SAID IT WAS NO USE TO ME AS IT WAS AMERICAN. HOWEVER ITS ALMOST THE SAME AND TRUTHFULLY I REALLY ENJOY USING IT AS A BED SIDE READ.
