Kids? What kids? I have these all over the house
I initially bought several of these for the grandkids and the scissors are perfect for them. Nice sharp cutting edge without a lethal point and easy for little hands to use. But then it occurred to me that they are neat little scissors for adults too, to unobtrusively have scissors in every room, in addition to big scissors. So I bought more, for me! My one caveat relates to a clear plastic flap in the center of the tool, for kids to write their name on. In one of the several items I bought, the flap sprung loose and stayed perpendicular to the scissors body and couldn't be closed back up. I ended up cutting it off and filing down the sharp edge of the plastic remnant. Better not to have this thing at all. If kids need to identify their scissors, they can just stick on a piece of masking tape with their name in magic marker.

for a toddler
my 3 y/o toddler likes to cut things. we got her this pack. it is a bit big on her hands and stiff to open the first few times. other than that, i highly recommend the product for young kids working on motor skills. feels like its good quality. the tip is not pointed. the measuring feature on the side is great for older kids or adults.

Still cheaper than other pairs....
One pair held up beautifully, but the other pair broke a couple months in without anything to really cause it. Just cutting paper and craft things. The pair that held up is great, so maybe just a fluke. Still cheaper than other pairs and worked well for my kids.

Waiting for our box cutter to arrive to open these scissors
Unable to open this. Will post a full review in a few days when the box cutter arrives.Update: The box cutter wasn't able to be opened. We had to order another one to open the first one.Update2: We borrowed our neighbors box cutter to open the package of the box cutter we purchased to then open the scissor package.Update3: The scissors work as described. Great value, Sharp and they cut very nicely.

Stanley Minnow - Point Tipped, 5” Scissors, 2 Pack.
I ordered these for home school, my younger kiddos no longer liked or needed blunt tipped scissors. I planned on getting a different brand but I found these at such a low price and figured the Stanley tools we’d had over the years were ok so these probably were too. First it took forever to take them out of the plastic packaging. Once out these are plenty sharp enough but they have a very small sweet spot for cutting. They don’t open/close smoothly, and the little name tag spot, don’t bother trying, I never got them open. If I really pushed, the plastic felt like it would snap. I guess these are such a low price for a reason. We stopped using them after 1 day. Cannot recommend, if you want something that works well don’t bother with these. I gave them 2 stars, they do work, they just don’t meet my expectations.

Name covers don’t stay
The little clear plastic cover that holds the child’s name doesn’t stay closed they keep popping open and the names fall out. Other than that they work good

Great for cutting, but ...
I purchased 2 of these for my grandsons. We are happy with the way they cut. However, the clear cover that is intended to hold the child's name does not remain in place. When it is placed in the closed position, it rotates into the open position with the first use of the scissors and it remains open - in the way. We are going to try to super glue that piece permanently into the closed position without gluing the scissors permanently closed.
