I know you might be thinking... $34 for a cat toy?! It's 100% worth it.I have two 3-month-old kittens and oh my goodness—they LOVE this thing. It keeps them busy long enough for me to make breakfast, clean their bathroom, eat breakfast, AND relax. As I'm writing this, I'm realizing it was more of an investment in myself (and furniture) because now they're able to be entertained long enough to stay out of trouble and let me do what I need to do!

This is so far definitely THE best toy my cats own. They have been transfixed by this thing from day one. it's proved so far to be a great babysitter. My cats demand a lot of play and the supplemental automatic play is a big help.I could completely see that not all cats will be crazy into this thing. My previous cats would probably find it frightening but my current 3 sister kittens love is so far. They're really playful and o feel like any super playful cats will really like this.

Right out of the box my little kitty LOVED this toy, even when she was too lazy to chase it it kept her entertained laying around and trying to bat at it. I work during the day and I know she gets bored while I'm gone so this toy was great for during the days to give her a little stimulant... but after about 2 weeks of use I started to notice a difference in it's performance. It started slowing down A LOT, every day it held the battery for shorter periods of time and eventually it didn't even have enough juice in it to move at all, it just jerked slightly like it was trying to move but couldn't. I don't know if it was the battery or the motor that got shot but it did not last very long at all. It says it has a lifetime warranty but when I went to the company website I could not figure out how or where to contact them and there is no real information other than the name of the brand :(Pretty disappointed, it was great while it lasted but for $35 I expected a longer life span than 20 days. Do not recommend.

I bought this toy expecting it to be yet another toy my cat mostly ignores. Yet my cat took interest right away. The "robot" moves randomly enough to keep things interesting. This is the toy my cat has taken the longest to get bored with. And even when he gets bored of the toy, I just put it away for a few days and take it out the next week, and it's almost like a new experience for my cat.So this is almost the perfect cat toy. Why then am I giving it only four stars? Because of its customer-hostile design. Once the feathers or fuzzy balls are gone, there is no way to buy actual replacements without buying the whole toy again. You may be able to MacGyver something with feathers and similar things from other toys so the lack of replacement toys is not the huge deal it could've been. The BIG problem however, is if the wand the holds the toy breaks. Basically the toy becomes useless without an attached wand. There's no practical reason the toy couldn't just keep rolling randomly and lighting up without a wand, but it pretty much stops moving. This is a very customer-hostile design. Needless to say that replacement wands are as hard to find as replacemen toys for the end of said wands, except you cannot MacGyver your way out of a broken or missing wand.
