The suction cup is quite strong and feels rigid. However, the metal dashboard pad did not stick well to the matte surface.

After reading multiple reviews I decided to stick this one directly on the windshield. It sticks perfectly well and it's the best holder I've ever bought so far. With different mobile holders available in the market, the issues that one can usually face are, lack of stickiness, loosely connected parts, i.e. lack of stability, etc. This one does not have any of the issues, I've driven my car on rough and jerky surfaces as well. This holder has no problems whatsoever. Just go for it.It works well on the windshield but I won't comment about sticking it on the flat surface. I saw the other reviews saying that it doesn't work well there. Thanks.

This phone holder from Amkette is very good. This is my second purchase. However, there is something I would like to point out. This holder works fine as smoother roads and holds phone perfectly. But if your car passes over a rumbl strips on the road, there is a high chance that your mobile will fall off. Apart from that, everything is just fine. Better than clip type holders which makes you use both hands everyone to place and remove.

The separate plastic base plate provided is useless as it does not hold on to car dash board. How the device works fine without this item & adheres directly to the dashboard quite firmly
