Are your teas gluten free?

Hi, thank you for your question! We do not test our teas for the presence of gluten, nor do we certify them as gluten free. However, we have collected statements from our ingredient suppliers stating that all ingredients we purchase are gluten free. Therefore, to the best of our knowledge all of our teas are gluten free. However, we cannot guarantee this as we do not independently test for the presence of gluten at this time. Our tea bag products do not directly come into contact with gluten-producing production equipment, but are manufactured in a facility that also processes wheat-containing products. We do have an allergen control program in place to minimize any risk of cross contamination. I hope this answers your question. does it have pesticides? how much caffiene for chocolate mint oolong

Stash Tea continues to build its global network of suppliers and works hard to select those suppliers who minimize or have eliminated the use of pesticides in their growing of tea, herbs, and spices. We regularly test for pesticides and other chemicals that are commonly used on crops.Pesticides used on crops must be considered “food safe” and must meet strict FDA standards for that particular crop. As with other leading tea companies around the world, Stash Tea adheres to best practice food safety guidelines when procuring its teas, herbs, and spices.Stash Organic teas are grown without the use of any synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides.Regarding caffeine, Stash tea does not currently test our products for caffeine content. Due to the variability in caffeine content in tea, even between the same type of tea, we also do not make any claims about caffeine. We can confirm that the Chocolate Mint Oolong is caffeinated. do any of the ingredients such as the chocolate flavoring have any animal products? In other words, is the tea completely vegan?

VeganPlanetBasedHealth(dot)com lists Stash among their vegan teas and adds that Stash teas are on the PETA Cruelty Free Tea list. The bag itself is 100% natural fiber (no plastics). There's no honey nor, explicitly, milk on the product's ingredient list, but at issue could be the ingredients of the chocolate from which the flavoring is derived. I'd guess dyed-in-the-wool vegans pretty much give most chocolates a wide berth given the chance milk is even a small part of the ingredient's ingredient list. Looks like they're MSG-free. My bulk box doesn't have this information printed on it, but each individually foil-wrapped tea bag lists as ingredients: Wuyi oolong tea, peppermint, natural chocolate flavor, cocoa powder and carob powder.
