Rugged Flip Phone
I am a dinosaur as I still use a flip phone and ATT is discontinuing there 3 G service so I needed a new flip phone. This one came as new in a box with the ATT logo and new battery. I had to get a new SIM card as this phone only takes the smallest version of SIM cards. Battery life seems very good, ran a week on standby. I was able to connect to WiFi, but is slow and cumbersome to input text. It is built like a brick and appears indestructible, but is rather large. Serves my purpose very well.

Quite a disappointment! The phone will be returned to Amazon immediately
This phone was sold by Energy Electronics and fulfilled by Amazon. I bought it to use it on the T-Mobile network. The phone came in a dubiously looking little box, which had inside the phone, the back cover (detached), a little unreadable instructions sheet, and the charger. Installing the SIM card took a lot of guessing and experimentation. After charging the battery, the phone would not detect the cellular network. I forced the network detection manually; then, the phone alternated between showing the T-Mobile logo, and the phrases "No service." and "Emergency calls only". The phone was vibrating every few seconds; maybe to indicate that it could not properly connect to a network. During the 4-5 minutes of experimentation, the battery charge dropped already to 96% (the battery didn't look new by any means, anyway). It is supposed to last 10 days in standby mode.Quite a disappointment! The phone will be returned to Amazon immediately.

Nice flip phone.
Quite expensive for a flip phone, but it is water resistant, and has been quite durable so far. Fairly bulky though. The battery was lasting me about three days, but after I put the screen brightness on the lowest setting, the battery lasts around 5 days.

It's a great Phone!!!
The phone is fantastic, using it with Consumer Cellular, all I had to do was call them and give them the Phones IMEI #. Once that was done, it works great. Although it's branded AT&T it is Unlocked, and should work with any carrier that supports CDMA telephony. It's a bit hoggish when it comes to battery life, almost have to change it each day. But I think that's the AT&T firmware, so there's not a lot I can do about that. Over all, I have to give it 4.5 Stars, if not for the fact that it is a bit battery hungry it's a great buy.

Rugged as Samsung Rugby
I like the phone but being refurbished the SD card holder was broken & I ruined a SD card. I used the phone for 6 months & now it refuses to read the Som card. Now it's junk & I'm back using the cheap phone AT&T sent. Frustrating & costly as I feel had it not had defective holders it would've lasted years. I was screwed by Amazon!

DOES "NOT" WORK WITH CONSUMER CELLULAR NETWORK
After being told by the "Seller" that this "unlocked" Kyocera DuraXE E4710 military grade cell phone would work with Consumer Cellular network - I bought one - IT DOES NOT WORK WITH CONSUMER CELLULAR network!I tested the phone before attempting and buying the Consumer Cellular SIM card and found the phone to have very good standby times - paid to have my old Verizon GZ1 Boulder phone contacts transferred to this phone (not an easy process at all as it took 4 hours) - and today after spending another 3 hours on the phone at Consumer Cellular customer service find out I wasted all my time, money and efforts on a phone purchase that will not work with the network I wanted to change to............... drat it!Just because it is a GSM "unlocked" phone does NOT mean it will work with all networks - and it certainly will not work Consumer Cellular Network - hopes this saves some folks the aggravation of going down this same road I just traveled.

Great phone
My husband didn't want a smart phone so we were looking for a quality flip phone. This one seems to be exactly what he wanted. Love the loud speakers so he can hear when he is inside or outside. Lots of extra features, too. Works with the Tracfone sim card we bought. Glad we bought this one. Shipping was quick and phone was just as advertised.

Dropped, thrown, submerged, hackey-sacked, skidded down the road- still going strong!
Likes: Extremely durable. The battery life is decent with minimal need of power management (unless you’re using blue tooth- then it can get sapped pretty quick). Endless entertainment and source of derision from my smart-phone owning friends (with all of their cracked screens, water damage, phone insurance with a deductible that’s half the price of the phone, endless upgrades & leases, constant distractions, fomo etc... just sayin). Not so much: The OS lags a bit when using contacts. T9 & word predict not as good as my old Sprint phone of the same model. The built in dictionary is average at best. I’ve found plenty of common urbanism’s missing which forces quite a bit of single-type. Do you have your own way of saying/spelling things amongst your peers? You’ll have to single-type it out every time! This is especially maddening when your peer group is multi-lingual. You can only use one language mode at a time- Spanish, English, or German. The vocabulary/dictionary is separate for each language. Again, my old sprint phone seemed to allow the three vocabularies to co-exist/predict-text without having to change the language Settings.
