it is very light. USB plugs into laptop to power the fans. to open plastic wrap, just pull the from the hole in the back. exact size of my laptop. it was delivered within 1 day.

Terrible Product. Waste of Money
Not sure if the Quality Assurance checks were done or not for this particular product ,couldn't even plug in any of the USB ports in my laptop..The most irritating part is about returning it . When opting for return ,they said pick up will happen in two to three business days .It has been more than week and yet to hear back from them.

It is a good product and works well but the build quality does not justify the price that it is listed for.

The yellow plastic knob that locks the stand at a position doesn't work well.
But the yellow plastic knob that locks the Laptop at a desired angle doesn't really hold -- it slips off its position with the slightest nudge. Left side more so than the right. So I am unable to position my Laptop at an angle.

I have a 15" Macbook Pro, which gets too hot to comfortably sit on your lap, particularly in warm weather. The Targus Chill Mat is absolutely perfect - it's discreet and just a little smaller than the laptop itself so it doesn't feel bulky or in the way. The fans are quiet and they keep my legs nice and cool when I'm sitting on the couch. It also keeps the laptop from sliding around too much. Didn't expect to like it so much but it's become a staple!

So far the fan is whisper quiet. I bought the flat one because I am not used to having anything but my lap top on my lap, but lately it just seems to get so warm and it feels like its creating heat rash .. this helps keep it off my lap, but keeps it at the flat angle I have been used to for 20 years . Even if the fans were a little louder or didnt work, Id still keep it to keep it off my lap. I can be on my computer for 5-8 hours strait. I do light gaming, I have done some gaming since I have had it, it stays quiet and keeps my lap from burning up

I had very bad experience from day one, the item does not make any temperature when it works, for such a price point it should be at least cool a little, I returned it and paid $23 extra for shipping. The refund was not released until I complained about it, after almost a month I got the refund agreed and it will take time to be deposited. And the shipping was not refunded. Worst experience with a seller on amazon
