I needed several of these to replace some older ones of a different brand that were starting to fall apart after about 8 years. They do the job, but I expect I will have to replace them sooner rather than later. UPDATE 2016: As expected, the bottles start fall out after they are taken out a few times and the friction is weakened. The actual bottles are not great. In a true eye wash emergency, they would be very difficult to open. First, you need to open the plastic shrink-wrap on the cap, then open the cap, then locate the separate eye cup and attach it to the bottle. I will be replacing about 4 of these this year. I believe I will still buy this item again due to the price. UPDATE 2018: It is a good thing these are as cheap as they are, because they crack if you look at them the wrong way. The labels fade and peel so quickly, that I've taken to making my own labels to put over them. I buy a few every year to replace the worst of them, and really it is just a way to maintain compliance at the lowest possible price point. Pros: - Nice bright color, makes it visible in the workplace - Fits most 32 oz eye wash bottles, even those that are not the same brand - Much cheaper than other eye wash stations Cons: - Easily damaged. The plastic is very thin (I'd say thinner than a credit card and not as strong) and cracks under relatively minor pressure - Inconsistent quality (I ordered several of these and 2 of them were missing their mounting screws, 1 of them had a severely warped edge, and 1 of them had a crack in the bottle that caused all the solution to leak out in transit.) - Only holds the bottle in by friction. Due to this and the weak plastic, I imagine that after a few uses it will no longer hold bottles securely. - The labels fade VERY quickly in sunlight. Summary: Cheap and easily broken but does the job and meets workplace safety requirements for a small amount of money.

I purchased this for my husband for use in the garage (he is a mechanic) after a trip to urgent care to have some metal shavings removed from his eye. Although this product more than likely wouldn't have removed the metal shavings (caused by using a wire wheel without safety glasses), we both agreed that having something similar on hand is a good idea for any future "eye accidents". We were both glad to find a product that is wall mountable and therefore will be easy to find in case it needs to be used, but we agree the unit could be a bit more beefy, I would hate to see what would happen if this got knocked off the garage wall! In comparison to similar products sold on Amazon, we found this to be the best deal for our use. Overall, very satisfied with the price, the concept and the fact that hubby's eyes should be a bit safer (along with safety glasses from now on)!

Bottles don't have an eye cup or anything to help direct the solution, just an inner cap with a smaller hole than the diameter of the neck. The security wrap on the cap is difficult to remove and wouldn't be practical for someone with an emergency. I removed the security wrap for easy access and that's fine in my application, but in a commercial environment this may not work. Other eye wash units I've used in the past had a much easier to remove security seal that didn't get in the way.

Required by OSHA in many work environments. Good price on the bottle. The green wall piece with info is a cheap thin plastic - could be any cheaper. But it's the bottle you need. This size bottle is much better than having two smaller ones. Think about it - if it is truly an emergency, you don't want to stop and open a 2nd bottle half way thru treating someone. Don't be cheap and think two smaller is better. We are talking about the possible loss of vision.
