You can definitely place ice in the smaller compartments. However, like any soft coolers, there may be a little bit of leakage once the ice melts and turns to water. Yes, we do offer more of the thin cold packs on our website.

Q: Are the two side zipper pockets insulated as well or just the main compartment? If insulated, big enough for a 12 oz can/16 oz bottle & sml ice pk?

The sides are insulated as well and I put my big 1.75 L water bottle in it so you can definitely fit whatever in the side pockets!

Roughly 6x6. It's actually perfect. I thought it would be small, but it worked out great.
