Yes, the knives have a 58 Rockwell hardness and there is a lifetime warranty on manufacturers defects.

Q: What color will the wood block come in? Walnut as pictured?

It comes in whatever wood you choose. I think there are a few options; Acacia, Cherry, Bamboo, Walnut, etc...etc. I have the Acacia and couldn't be happier. Great knives!

This set contains a 3.5" paring, 6" utility, 8" bread, 8" cooks, 9" honing steel, come apart shears and a 15 slot block.
