This is a good magnetic mobile phone holder for your car. I’ll lay out my review into pros and cons.Pros: You can bend/swivel the arm to push it back or forward. The disc that your cellphone sits on also swivels so you can turn the phone towards you for ease of viewing. The arm sits far enough away from the vent that your phone doesn’t get too cold (from A/C) or too hot (from heater) and doesn’t block the vent flow. Comes with a few different magnet size and shape (square/ circle). Magnet is also strong.Cons: My biggest concern is when the phone sits on the holder it does put quite a bit of weight on the vent slat. Due to the nature of the phone sitting further away from the base on the arm, it does weigh down your vent and I’m concerned about the vent breaking if there was enough force. Although it weighs down on the vent, it doesn’t cause the vent to close as the part that tightens the holder is wide enough that it wedges the vent open. Due to the weight you won’t be able to angle your slat up either. You can still move it side to side.Overall, the convenience of the dual swivel and vent flow outweighs the cons and I decided to keep it. I wouldn’t recommend this if you have an iPhone PLUS as I would be concerned that the weight would break the vent during sudden forceful stops or turns.

What I would change is the wing lock. The tabs make it difficult to lock the clip in cars where the vents are more "embedded" into the dash and not flush, or I can't turn it because the space on either side of the louver adjustments is too small to be able to turn the lack, and that forces you to place the holder higher on the vent which then causes the louvers to tilt downwards with the weight of the phone. In my car, it works fine. My louvers aren't that loose, the vents are wide, and they are flush with the dash. In other cars, which I use several different cars for work, it's just doesn't work well. On one car, I can't even use it at all because the louvers are so thin, the clip won't even close tight enough on them. On another car, I have to put a folded up piece of paper under the lock wing to prop it up so it doesn't turn the louvers down. I've tried bringing it down one louver but then I can't turn the lock as it hits the bottom of the vent/top of the dash and there's no room to move it over in either direction. It's not bad, and when I can get it set in the right place, it does keep my phone up off the heat vents so my phone doesn't over heat, which is really what I needed it for so 5 stars for that. But only 4 for lack of insight and foresight on differing vent/dash designs that make this holder next to impossible or impossible to use.

The Bad:Small metal plate is useless if you have thick cell phone protective case like Otter box. The phone will barely hang on the mount. It may work better if you have thinner cell phone case. I would rate the larger metal plate as acceptable, but still flimsy, even for thinner cell phone cases. The vent clip is a joke, a bad design. I wish they put more effort in testing the vent clip - it is bulky, it makes vent unusable, it needs to be tightened a lot to avoid mount from slipping out, just a poor design. The magnet is fairly weak for customers who have thick cell phone protective cases.The Good:The concept of swiveling arm so that hot air does not blow on the phone is a good concept, but the mount has many issues and I would not recommend it to others.Item comes with one small and one medium size plate. The small plate is inappropriate for cell phones with thicker cases, like many Otter Box cases.I hope manufacturer will take this feedback and improve the design (better vent clip, stronger magnet, larger metal plates).Why giving only two stars? I gave one star for the concept of "longer swivel arm". This is a big plus for vent mounts. I gave another star for medium size plate, that works for thinner cases. I removed two stars for bad vent clip, I removed third star for weak magnet. I hope manufacturer will take this feedback and improve the design.

I’m actually surprised how strong the magnets on this one are. I was never a big fan of phone mounts that attach to the air vents due to their flimsiness but I gotta saw, this hood my 12 pro really well
