The light is pretty hard even with the defusion panel in place. DON'T LOOK INTO THE LIGHT...you'll definitely be seeing spots for a while. Lights were smaller than expected but have come to love them as it's super easy to tuck into corners or tight spaces while still producing crazy amounts of light. Cord length isn't an issue for me, they are what they are and they do the thing. Paired with some NP-F970 batteries I can take these light weight beauties on the road with me. They require very minimal effort to break down and pop into a case.
