This telescopic rod is unique in the way it functions, with some of the guides being "floating" so the rod can be kept very short when retracted. After extending the rod sections, you slide the floating guides up into place where they secure. The rod has a very nice fit and finish that has an attractive high-quality look and feel.The durability has recently been improved by making the top section out of solid fiberglass (think of the famous "Ugly Stick" and its nearly unbreakable construction). And, to further help with durability, the rod comes with a unique cover that protects the rod when in the retracted position, making it safe to put in your daypack, backpack, car trunk, etc.Traditionally, good "pack rods" in the US have been made in multiple pieces, with the old-school telescopic rods not being all that good. This has changed with the advent of newer rod materials. In other parts of the world, telescopic rods are now extremely popular and well respected as serious fishing tools. This KastKing is an example of that new breed of telescopic rod. The action is far better than that of a five-piece pack rod, and it's lighter, as well.Best of all is the price! Always keep a rod in my car, after my old one broken, I checked some reviews online, and bought this on, surprisingly sensitive for a tele rod. Hope the seller will put mh or heavy rod on canada Amazon, I will take another one for sure

I really like the rod, it’s light weight with a very sensitive tip. Caught a few small fishes on my first use, overall it's a pretty a good telescopic rod.

Hi I received my purchase and had some rather disappointing findings.1) the guides are not straight, please refer to picture.2) I don't know what is it but it seems like there is a manufacturing issue, please refer to the picture with the part circled.
