Terrible ball
Bought for my weimaraner and the only good point about this ball is that it has a hole through it.When carried by a dog this ball becomes very slippy and on a hot day my dog managed to swallow it. Luckily I was with my other half and between us we managed to keep him calm and remove the ball and thankfully with no side effects.Upon visiting vet we were told you'd be surprised at how many dogs die this way so now all throwing balls have ended in the bin.Think a smooth outer casing of the ball and dog slaver is using for trouble and as I've said the saving grace was the hole through the middle so airway isn't completely blocked.

Good all round!
This is the 3rd small (tennis ball size) Kong ball that I've bought. Not that they don't last, they're brilliant- they're the only ball my Patterdoodle hasn't 'terrierized'! First one I threw for her and it dropped into an open soil pipe on a empty plot on a caravan park. Second one same said animal on same caravan park set off after a squirrel with ball in mouth and forgot where she left it so that was lost! Third ball we're on and it's taken a few weeks for her to get over the 2nd ball and embraced the new but it's 'business as usual' now. Hope my girl doesn't lose this one. But as for the ball- fantastic!

Tough small ball for tough small dogs!
I bought this small ball for my sister's King Charles, who loves chasing balls but tends to destroy them within minutes. This tough Kong ball has so far lasted two months - a record! The dog loves it - and the fact that he has not been able to nibble bits off means that it is much safer than his previous toys. I've bought a number of Kong products for my own bigger dogs - they've all been great, and this smaller ball is no exception.Additional - just bought another! Unfortunately my sister's dog lost the first after a lot of play - but it was completely undamaged before it went AWOL. I only hope some other dog has found it and is loving it too!

Solid heavy and no flexibility
A very heavy solid ball which my dog can’t destroy.I have a small Podenco who destroys balls not this this one.The ball is very solid with no flexibility making it quite heavy.Sadly he lost interest quickly. There is another brand on the market which is a little more flexible which he does enjoy moreA side note this has a hole all the way through which is goodAs the ones with a single hole are dangerous as the dogs tongue can become stuck on a suction effect on single holesThis has caused the death of a dogSo a hole all the way through prevents this

It doesn't float!
Why does no manufacturer produce a rubber ball (to which sand will not stick, thereby abrading the dog's teeth) which is not solid (thereby risking knocking his teeth out), is of a standard size, viz tennis ball size that will fit a flinger (the small Kong is just fractionally too small, so flies out when throwing; the large is too large), and which floats in water (since my Labrador and I imagine many others loves to rush into the sea). Is that asking too much? As kids we had rubber balls to kick around that fitted the bill; nowadays manufacturers seem to design every kind of odd ball, but not one that meets the above specification.
