Q: Is this groundwork paint pot shimmery when it goes on or is it matte? THANKS!

I use it everyday it has a matte finish and my eye shadow lasts all day with out creases

Q: Should this be real dry when it arrives ?I bought 3 different shades and they are all very pasty and hard to get to spread on the eyelid ?

It shouldn’t be so dry that it’s hard. Use your finger to warm it up and it should slide on smoothly.
