Good effect, one little design complaint
There is a noticeable difference between the two settings, and the pedal does a good job replicating the TS sound either way. It’s pretty lightweight too. The knobs aren’t too sensitive and it’s not too gainy. I’m very satisfied with the functionality and tone. The only complaint I have is the placement of the DC port. It’s on the output jack edge, on the side of the output closest to the pedal switch. This isn’t the only pedal I have like that (Caline’s Tremelo pedal comes to mind) but it’s annoying when trying to run a short power cable to the pedal (like a daisy chain or off a multiplug power supply). That said, given the price point, I would probably recommend this if you’re unsure between the “real” 808 and 9 tonally, and/or want something that’s not as always in-between as Joyo’s JF-01, and/or need a versatile TS-style OD.

Definitely a hit
These cheap clones pedals can be hit or miss. This one is a big hit. Tube screamers aren’t complicated, but they add that extra spice when played through a tube amp or with a fuzz. Having two options to choose from is great, the build quality is remarkable for the price, and the clone circuit does its job really well. They really nailed this one

Very cool
Definitely saved from buying the og and this one has a decent mid bump and sounds nice when pushed. It does “suck” some lows out like the ibanez so I dont aleays like that but a good tool in the arsenal. #jeffbazosblowslol

Makes a Nast Hiss in Tube amp
The only thing it did was make a nast voltage pass thru hiss in my signal. I repair and build amps so have some idea what I am talking about. but the ibanez

A great inexpensive copy
This gives great value for the money- it copies two iconic pedals in a single well made package. You can easily dial in sounds from ac/dc, Black Sabbath, or Stevie Ray Vaughn. This has been great fun to play with for a very good price.

Outstanding Overdrive Pedal
I have been using a Boss Blues Driver pedal for a while and really enjoy it. I saw the Tube Screamer that has clones of two separate classic overdrive pedals ( Ibanez TS9 and TS808). These are well known pedal circuits that have been around since the mid-70 and used extensively by professionals. I figured that for the price I couldn't lose (besides, it was returnable).I ordered it and it came quickly. It is a sturdy cast aluminum case with a bullet proof looking foot switch. It uses a single 9 volt battery or 9 volt, negative center AC adapter. Overall looks indestructible. Hooked it up initially with a cheap wall-wart. Not good. It had a pretty good buzz. Switched over to the Boss 9-volt AC adapter and it was perfectly quite. Shows the difference between good and poor adapters.Started with the TS9 setting with a lot of gain. It sounded very 70s rock. The Level and Tone knobs both are effective at their jobs. Overall, it has a bit more range than my Blues Driver.Switched to the TS808 position and repeated the tests. There is definitely a difference between the two switch positions. The TS808 position, with gain cranked in, is a thicker sound. Very good.I haven't tried all possible adjustments yet, but my initial impression is that the TS9 would be great for lead runs up above the octave while the TS808 would be great for driving rhythm play. This is an amazingly good pedal when function and price are considered. The listing says "hand made" and I have no reason to doubt it.They have done a very good job of recapturing the correct, original sound of these two pedal circuits.I don't plan to return it.
