There's no question this is a good solid case. It was difficult to get apart in order to put it on the phone, and it was a bit difficult to install the rubber exterior on the phone, you feel like you're going to tear it. But it eventually goes on. Once it's on, however, your phone feels like a tank. This is not a small thin lightweight case. This is a beefy case that feels good in the hand. The downside is that it's expensive. But my $$$ high-tech phone feels well protected and I guess that's what counts.

First Otter box. Won't be my last. Fits nicely, easy to get on/off, very secure, easy access to all ports, looks stylish. Does lift the protective glass a tiny bit but everything still functions fine. I've dropped the phone a couple times since getting the case and nothing was damaged.

What else would you expect? Very high quality and fits perfectly to my Samsung Note 8. I had a screen protector on my phone already, and when I put the phone in the OtterBox case one corner of the protector was touching the edge of the case. I thought it would be okay but after a week the screen protector popped off. This was no fault of the case, it was likely the screen protector was slightly off.The case nicely protects the Note 8. I can use the finger scanner with no problems and the buttons no problem to use. Of course the buttons are a little stiffer than the Note 8 without a protective case.I don't use a screen protector on the phone now, I don't feel that I need one with this case when using the belt clip section to transport the phone. The belt clip protects the phone screen if you face the phone inside.I highly recommend this case.
