Quick review
This book is a treasure of Wisdom. Calling us back home. Asking us to return to nature's wisdom, nature's instruction. As I read, I couldn't help but think of two things. Christianity and Stoicism. Both schools of thought derive concepts from nature. Proverbs 6:6-11 reads,Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!7 It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,8 yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.9 How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—11 and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.The stoics sayTime is a river carrying all events. As soon as one event happens, it’s carried away and another takes its place. Then it, too, is swept away.Granddaughter Crow is just reminding us to observe and reconnect with nature. The natural world has a lot to us about life.I like this book and look foward to rereading and applying its advice.
