These are driving me crazy. Cannot get any tension between the two halves of the pole. Am obviously doing something wrong, but with no instructions it's impossible to tell how these are meant to work. One disappointed birthday girl.

The sticks turned up on time and look great but the twist locking mechanism to lock the sticks at the height you want is hopeless. Every time you slacken the sticks to pack away the locking collar comes loose so you have to pull the sticks apart to tighten the collar by hand before reassembling the sticks and tightening compleatly. One takes a few seconds but really annoying when the rest of the stick is such good quality
