I bought the NEEWER Flash Diffuser Light Softbox 6" x 5" specifically for family and friends' activities, and it has been a game-changer. I needed a way to get good lighting without that harsh 'paparazzi' look you usually get from a bare flash.This softbox does exactly what it says: it diffuses the light to make it much softer and more even across everyone's faces. It’s very easy to set up—you just unfold it and strap it onto the flash. I also love how it folds flat, so I can just toss it in my bag when we’re heading out to a party. Highly recommended if you want better-lit photos at your next event!

It just about does the job. The light still stays on the harsher side. I ordered this product for macro photography and would not recommend people buying it for macro work. For other casual purposes it is good. I would still highly suggest people to make their own DIY diffuser. That will be cheaper and light will be better!
