Q: How long does it take to dry?

I have always given it 12 hours because I used it on a leather recliner which sees hard use daily, But it appears dry to the touch after 4 hrs.

Q: I need to repair a large discolored area on the head rest part of a recliner. Will this dye rub off from the heat and or oils from your head?

This kit works well on small areas. I would not recommend this for large areas like a headrest on a recliner. A decorative lap blanket would be a better option.

Q: I have a 3" tear in my distressed leather sofa. i also have a piece of 8×8 matching patch. what can i do for a repair kit, or should i call a pro?

The repair kit will complete the tear repair. The biggest thing is to mix the color and try on a area to make sure it matches exactly. Pretty simple fix for an average person

Q: I need to repair a small tear on a taupe vinyl chair. Do you think I can mix taupe from the colors provided?

I am not sure about mixing the colors to match your exact tone. I was able to use one the color right out of the tube without mixing. However, there is a color chart that tells you how to mix the different colors to achieve new colors and that is very easy to do. The product was very easy to use and did a magnificent charge. I had a hole about the size of a nickel . I kept layering the product in thin layers and allowed each application to thoroughly dry. I ended up with a very professional looking repair. Looks good as new. Very pleased.
