Well impressed with the fleecy finish, it makes the bed feel all 'snuggly'! The elastic fixing straps at each corner made fitting quick and easy. The controller is clear and easy to understand. When you first turn it on it comes on at heat number 6 and for a timed 1 hour. I got this not only for the colder nights, but also to help with lower back pain, the past two nights I have put it on for only about 15 mins before bedtime and the bed was warm and cosy and certainly has helped alleviate my back pain (admittedly I also put it on number 3 for about 10 mins in the morning just before getting up). One negative is that the very end of the blanket is not heated, so if you are tall or sleep low in the bed your tootsies won't be nice and warm (that said the very edges aren't either!) Overall, very pleased and pleased with my purchase.

Nothing negative to say about this heated blanket. Dual controls work so well as does the 6 setting temperature control and the timer. It warms up very quickly so only needs to go on 10 minutes before going to bed for a lovely, even, warmth across the blanket to the end of the bed. Really good value for money.

We've only used this electric blanket twice but we are delighted with the result. It heats up very quickly if you initially set it to 6 before getting into bed & you can then turn it down to a lower number if so desired. It seems to have a default timer setting of 1 hour before it goes into standby mode, but that is an ideal amount of time while we read our books. Of course, the timer can be adjusted. Unlike most electric blankets, this one covers the whole bed ( we have a double ). As well as our regular mattress, we have a mattress topper, but this doesn't stop the blanket from being fitted with the straps provided, they were able to accommodate the extra height. Something I should point out as it isn't made clear in the description or the pictures for the product is that the two remote controls both have plugs on them, they do not work with batteries & can't be charged, so you will need two mains sockets to plug them into. Overall, this is a great electric blanket that is nice & soft due to the fleece lining & will keep you warm & toasty at bedtime.

Very comfortable. Doesn’t heat up as quick as previous version but still an excellent product for the cold winter nights.

First impression out of the box is that this blanket is quality. A good thickness and exact size for my double mattress. Feels good to lie on - very much like a mattress topper. Given the continuing mild weather, i’ve only used it once. It warmed up quickly with an even spread of heat. I’m looking forward to the cold nights ahead knowing that i’ll be very cosy. My only disappointment (and i’m prepared to accept that I misunderstood the description) is whats referred to as detachable controls. I took this to mean that the controls (one each side) were like a remote. In that you could set them on the bedside table for convenient access. NO! Each control is fitted in the usual way, in the cable between the wall socket and the blanket, meaning that you have to reach it down the side of the bed (awkward if the bedside table/cupboard is a tight fit) and lean over (the cable is quite short) to change the settings. What the description means by detachable is that it disconnects/unplugs from the blanket to enable the blanket may be washed. So, overall I like the product. Its expensive, but good quality, just a shame (in my case) about the confusion over ‘detachable’! To be fair, for the price, I would have expected this blanket to have a remote as I anticipated.

I bought the single size for my super king (6 foot wide) bed because I only wanted to heat one side. My bed has two single mattresses that zipped together, so I needed a blanket that didn't have a skirt, but also wanted to avoid blankets that use string to hold in place. This blanket has a strap at each corner and fitted perfectly, even in the middle where the mattresses zipped together. Most single blankets I have seen run up the middle of the mattress, only being about 28 inches wide, with vertical wiring. This one is fully 36 inches wide, and completely covers a standard single mattress, and has horizontal wiring which I find heats the bed better. One more thing that is very important for Blind And Visually Impaired people is that the control unit is fully accessible; there are physical buttons for on/off, and for changing the temperature and timer. The temperature button on the left has six settings, and changes with each press of the button, going back to temperature number one after six has been selected. The timer which is the button on the right has three selections of one, three or nine hours.

Its so nice to get an electric blanket that really gets the bed toasty. So many blankets these days seem to have the top heat setting restricted - probably extremely thin wires that cannot withstand a decent electric current. We put the blanket on setting 6 and one hour about 30 mins before we go to bed and its heaven.
