I love using the best tool for the job and now that I have found the technique I’m never going back. The learning curve is quick and plastics anchors that get pushed in and fall into the wall are now a thing of the past.

Buy this simply for the tool. This is the only way to set molly anchors. You will never go back.
If you set molly anchors often. This is the only way to ensure you wont damage or twist out in you drywall. This is especially true during the first 1/4 inch of compressing. That is when the most torque is applied. Sometimes the anchor will begin to twist and compromise the drywall face. This tool behaves like a rivet tool. A few simple squeezes and the anchor is set. It doesn't apply undue stress on the commonly small threads of the screw. The kit is a little chintzy, nice box but you will find the anchors come in a few odd sizes. We really wanted this for the tool to replace our old one that was 15+ years old. The anchors in the kit work fine but the top of the heads use a dovetail key to hold the top rim in place. The dovetail is not tight and we found a few of our anchors loose, Once the anchor is installed it works fine when in a squeezed position.

A unique tool for unique situations.
This tool works exactly as described. It’s effortless. I could not put a stable cloths hook on the back of a hollow door. Screws in a hollow door give a wobbly result, and if I tried wall anchors I’m pretty sure my grandkids would grab a towel hanging there and pull the wall anchors and hook right out of the door on day one. If you don’t want to repair big holes in a hollow door use the expansion nuts that come with this tool. With some of the longer expansion nuts this also works with drywall, but unlike wall anchors these nuts are not removable.
