I am an A-Level Student and I actually came across this textbook a year earlier-my teacher had a copy and I would use it during class frequently. To say that it helped would be an understatement. It was much better than the textbook we were required to buy for the course. Even the layout made it so easy to use-the AS part of it was very helpful and so far the A2 part is also very good. Having it is very useful.

I bought this book for my daughter for her OCR chemistry A for 2019,eventhough it’s for international A level Cambridge exam,but it’s the same exam board ,OCR and international Cambridge ,I read both curuculai ,and they are the same. This book is written in a better manner than her core text used in her school ,plus I bought her another text book called chemistry in context,so she can select the writing style she is most comfortable with . Please check the syllabus yourself before you buy this book,just don’t take my word for it. I have read the syllabus and found it covers the entire syllabus for 2019 OCR chemistry A. This book is well illustrated with lots of worked examples,makes a pleasant reading,and it is a text that makes you love chemistry and explains the subject in a very delicate and straight forward manner. If I had time,I would personally read it to refresh my chemistry knowledge but for now I will leave my daughter to enjoy the book.just fantastic text book,written with extreme care and love for the subject .
