Works Fine But Not Decent Quality for Price
I purchased to replace a competitor's brush which I somehow misplaced. Loved this lost brush as it easily removed tangles, excess undercoat and unraveled matts easily without pain to my dog. He actually laid down and rolled over begging to be brushed with it.I have a double coated long-haired medium sized dog. This brush scares my baby. He fights me while using. I can see a medium haired dog not minding the brushing but with a longer haired dog, the bristles just do not reach down to just above the skin to work properly.Disappointed but will keep until I find my "lost" brush.Pros:Easy to retract the bristles to fully remove fur/hairs from the brush.Push Button to lock bristles into place is a good feature.Good Rubber/Silicone Handle that doesn't slip out of palm.Overall brush size is good.Cons:Cheap hollow plastic construction that isn't on par with competition.Took more than 5 days to arrive when Amazon stated overnight arrival.Bristles are shorter than most slicker brushes so do not dig into and remove tangles and dead hair.Handle is not ergonomically shaped thus awkward when handling.Overall a decent brush but how long it will hold up is yet to be determined. Will probably give to a friend with a shorter haired dog once my beloved slicker brush is located.

Goldens Must Have!
I have a huge, 120 lb (healthy) Golden Retriever. He's a big boy, the biggest Golden and craziest I've ever had. Mr. Bailey Bubblez is a year old and a goofy boy! Brushing him is a pain tho!! He sheds Like crazy! And he's a very long haired, floofy Golden! Hes constantly trying to play and grab the brush while I brush his neck and ears and his booty floof! Lol! But the biggest nightmare with all brushes we have used is having to constantly stop every few flippin seconds to clear the brush and start again, which is difficult when you have a rambunctious 1 year old dog with an attention span of a goldfish. So this was a LIFE SAVER! Just click the brush open (love that!!! Hides the bristles when not in use so they don't poke ya!) And when it's full, just click the button again and boom all the hair pops off as the bristles go back inside and you can immediately start brushing again with a click! Best purchase I've ever made for his grooming snd this is the 5th one I've tried. I was instantly in love and I love slicker brushes for long haired dogs because it makes them so soft and smooth! Great buy for this through and through, big mommas boy!

Works great, but pretty aggressive?
Ok, so this removes underfur from my Anatolian/Great Pyrenees mix guardian dogs like nobody’s business. Amazing!! I’ll borrow a hand from my son and say three thumbs up.But the main reason it was purchased was to remove the acres and acres worth of burrgrass burrs from our young Border Collie/Australian Shepherd. For this, it seems a bit scary to use around the sensitive areas - face, ears, belly. I still use it, but just very carefully. Around the rest of the pup, burr removal is a breeze. Not only would I say that I’d buy again, but I actually will, because like the chucklehead that I am, I left it where the BC/AS mix pup could get its mouth on it… It’s not a chew toy 😢😢😂😂

Grabs a lot of fur, almost too much!
We recently added a medium-hair cat to our family, and he needs some serious regular brushing that goes beyond what most of our brushes are capable of handling. We bought a few brushes to try, and this is one of the best we found. The only issue is that when we do what is usually a ‘normal’ long brush stroke on other brushes with this brush, the teeth can hold on and pull enough that we could drag our poor kitty along the floor just by brushing him. So if your pet has longer hair, just do lighter brushes on smaller sections at a time as you work through all the tangles. Also, I don’t really like the way the fur removal works, it feels awkward to do. You have to retract the bristles to remove the fur, and the button to do it interferes with your grip on the handle when you’re brushing.Despite that, this is a good addition to any fur-management tool set.

Perfect De-shedder
Super simple, easy to use, not painful (for both doggo and human), and really easy to clean.I use this on my Shepherd-mix and it's:- 1 hand to hold dog- 1 hand for shedder- Finger press down to bring out the shedder part- Run it down her coat- Button press to retract the shedder part --> super handy because ALL the fur sticks together, so I don't end up with separate pieces everywhere- quick wipe- watch as this clump of fur (which sticks together) floats awayNote: You can use this inside because the fur all sticks together, so you'll just end up with multiple (large) clumps of fur that are super easy to pick up

A really nice design
Read several reviews on this before buying. It does exactly what it is advertised to do. The best feature, hands down, are the retractable bristles. When they retract they leave a perfect square of matted fur which drops easily into the waste basket. One caveat, our Rhodesian Ridgeback had no problems with the Furminator, but the bristles on this brush are a little uncomfortable for her. For long haired, double and triple coated dogs, this is a great brush.

Cool brush
We have a dog that sheds A LOT! With a traditional dog brush, we need to clear the bristles after 3 or 4 strokes. This brush still fills up quickly, but ejecting the hair is quick and easy. A regular brush releases dog hair into the air and is messy to use. This brush compacts the dog hair and the quick release drops the clump right into the trash (totally hands free!). It really is a smart design. Happy to have it.

Mein Kopf klackert etwas .
