Loving It
While admitting I am WAY under using this board, it is simple a fantastic piece of equipment. I record a weekly podcast and wanted to bump up from my original board which was FINE but lacked in the full rich sound that I knew my other gear was capable of producing so I bought it as my Xmas present to myself. The sound and functionality of this board is amazing for the price, and let's be honest I bought it for the sliders...to be able to fade and rise the sound without stopping what you are doing and look at the knobs is SO satisfying. I've one minor quibble, for the life of me I could not make the USB connection work properly, and I am sure I am the moron. I could get the sound to come IN to the board, but I could not make anything but the XLR mics go back out TO the computer. Now, I had a 1/4 inch to USB interface from my old board that I just plugged in and everything worked fine, your mileage may vary. Again, I am pretty sure I did something wrong not the board, but be warned. Still, SLIDERS are AMAZING, they make you feel like you are studio producer and Def Leppard and laying down tracks on the other side of the glass, even when you are just doing a dumb podcast.

Excellent Board for Podcasting and Musical Recordings!
When starting a podcast, I looked at several different mixers. There are a couple reasons I settled on the Xenyx 1204USB. The most obvious reason is that it has sliders instead of knobs for volume control. When doing a podcast, audio levels need to be adjusted on the fly and you don't have the time to stop and look at the board to fidget with a knob. Sliders will always give a smoother, more precise adjustment. Hands down that functionality makes this board worth its weight in gold. Want allow Skype calls but still want to record them into a main mix? This board can do that. with USB controls you can determine what audio you are wanting to send back to the computer and to the caller, but run sound out of your main outs to another audio device. For me, that audio device is a Zoom H5. Last but not least, this board is a beast when it comes to podcasting with good mics. The built in compression, kill buttons and phantom power for 4 mic tracks give you complete control over the mix and if you have quality microphones you will have a mix clear enough that the listener thinks they are in the same room. If you are looking for a good rig to record music or start podcasting, this is a surefire start that will get you where you need to be in no time!

Great little mixer fot the price lots of nice features on it
Im a DJ an was looking for a mixer. Nice little mixer for the price. Alot of nice features on this product. The balanced XLR outs on the front is what I was searching for on a small mixer with enough Channels to run what I needed as well. For recording , podcast, DJING this will work fine. For stage performance I'd recommend a mixer with more channels if you're running more then 4 mics or instruments. 9mm sliders id say 12+db on them. sliders cover the number position mark. I gave 4 stars because I didn't receive an install disk with this product even though you can go to the manufacturer web site an download their software. I find for other customers that might not be "tech savvy" to be a problem for them if they're wanting to install the program. You can run the mixer without computer software just not the recording program an don't connect computer to mixer before you get program installed. On youtube seems to be a whole mess of confusion due to the download vs people receiving install disk that have the better outcome. Do your research on products you buy i probably read at least 1000 reviews from people who use products in a professional stand point then a mess around point of view. If you are unsure on what to get write down what you're doing if its using so many mics, instruments, so on... then buying something that "looks good" I would buy this again based on how im going to use it. I'd get another for a spare in my case.

Great mixer for a 2 PC stream setup
This will be more of a PC tech/streaming tailored review, but overall this mixer is amazing for anyone who needs the channels! I personally got this for a 2 PC stream setup (livestreaming to Twitch or a live broadcasting platform). It connected the audio from my main gaming PC & tied it into my 2nd PC that did all the hardware encoding to Twitch. All my audio needed to be routed & managed via the mixer & easily adjusted on the fly. The mixer handled my main desktop audio source, XLR mic, Spotify, & Discord very well. After the RTX cards released, I'm streaming off 1 PC now & don't really need the mixer anymore, but I still use it to power my Audio Technica headphones & my Shure SM57 XLR mic. It's high quality & sounds great. I'm a novice when it comes to mixing audio, so for someone who can use this for real, it'll prob be perfect!

Great product. Perfect for twitch, podcasting or live recording.
For the price this thing works great. Its not too large for my desk, but big enough that you do not feel limited or crowded controlling your sound needs. I use this for Twitch streaming, playing games, or just general control of multiple sound sources at my desk. I literally pipe everything into this mixer at my desk. I am able to run my discord/teamspeak on a separate system and pipe my mic out the Aux channel to it. I only use the USB out for use into OBS for recording or streaming on the game computer. I actually output the game computer sound back into the mixer in one of the stereo channels so I can mix everything before sending it out to OBS. That way I do not have to adjust game/mic/discord/music/ via OBS sliders. I can stay in the game and adjust on the fly without needed to alt/tab over to OBS or go into game audio settings. Everything is laid out logically on the board and is all pretty self explanatory if you have sound equipment experience, but also feel someone with no experience could get up and running with just a little reading of the manual.

I decided to upgrade my speakers to some entry level audio monitors as I do a lot of editing and film work. I also wanted some decent speakers for general listening too. As I have a number of inputs such as Desktop, Laptop, PS3 and occasionally others, I thought i'd get a Mixer as it would be handy for handling multiple inputs, adjusting the sound and it would look really cool on my desk! This works great for me and was great for under £100, I considered a number of cheaper and smaller ones but this has a whole lot more channels and features than the lower end ones for not much more money. I would have liked it to have had another stereo channel or two but that's no problem as I use 3 & 4 together for my Desktop and still have 2 channels to plug in Microphones for recording. You can also use the FX and Aux Returns as extra stereo channels if you don't need them for anything else. Great audio quality from this and the build quality is decent, the USB interface can be used to record your Main Mix or as a Sound input into the 2 Track. I use it all the time to record voiceovers and other bits and it works great with Adobe Audition and Audacity. Great features and quality for the price! Has worked brilliantly for my home edit suite setup. I would recommend to people who are looking for a basic mixer for home setups, small live events/functions. Musicians maybe wanting to record vocals and instruments with XLR mics. You aren't able to record channels separately over USB as it all goes through the main mix so you won't have individual control over your levels in post unless you record them separately but it's great if you want to record music, voiceovers etc...

So far I'm not finding any fault in this product as a DJ I've worked with many mixers over the years ..... Still learning some features in this mixer yet Over all a good product to purchase for your DJ / Podcast and so easy expandable to add other stuff to the board IE Keyboards etc. Works with both Condenser and non-condenser mics as it has a Phantom Power options on the mixer to power the Condenser mic's.
