Not Airtight!
This lid is not airtight. I am using the bucket for lacto-ferments and installed an airlock. I was unable to get a seal until I sealed the lid with a food grade silicone grease. The bottom gasket seems to be holding the seal no problem, but the gasket on lid does not seal by itself. Once I sealed it with the silicone grease, the airlock started bubbling immediately. So now the gamma lid is doing its job, but I have a gooey mess on the rim of the bucket that I have to be mindful of. Not the end of the world. I am glad that I had the silicone grease to make it airtight.

Great for storing flour
After not being able to get flour during the beginning of the pandemic, decided to buy it by the 25 lb bag instead of 5 from now on. This is great for storing it.

Convenient for kitchen scraps
I use it for kitchen scraps that will be composted. It is the perfect size for holding open the composting bags.The lid fits well, the rubber ring inside the lid fell off almost immediately but it closes well without it.

Easy Lid
Those lids are hard to get on, so I was SOOOO happy to see this bucket with the lid already installed. It's a breeze to use. I usually get large buckets, but this size lends itself to many uses around the house.

These are perfect for our food storage needs
We are so happy with these. Just what we needed.FYI - don't forget to remove the sticker on the underside of the lid before putting them through the dishwasher. I missed one and it was such a bitch to try and remove all the glue after that, not to mention it clogged up my dishwasher drain.
