Mahatma Whole-Grain Brown Rice, 2lb Bag of Rice, Stovetop or Microwave Rice

I love brown rice. I will never go back to white. It takes much longer to cook, but it’s so good. I cook the entire bag at one time. Freeze it in portions. Freezes great. And then it’s ready to go.

Taste great. The cook time is very easy has good texture great for the price of the money definitely will buy again when I need more brown rice.

very good rice - takes normal time to cook (of course) not sticky if ya cook it right - very easy to cook. tastes better than alotta rice brands. great texture - not sticky - i said that already

Always delicious and healthy for my family. Just remember brown rice takes longer to cook when you're planning a meal.

I cook and bake extensively. All of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare, including home cooked meals for our Faithful Canine Companions. I use a lot of brown rice with both human and doggie meals. Mahatma Whole-Grain Brown Rice never disappoints! Always fresh with a delicious nutty flavor. Versatile for use with any meal. Storage Tip: I recommend storying the uncooked brown rice in your freezer for maximum freshness. Preparation Tips: I recommend rinsing the brown rice well before cooking. - I have found that cooking in a rice cooker as I do produces the best results. After the rice is done, leave it for 15 minutes on the cooker's warm setting before opening the lid. This makes for the best tender and fluffy rice (see photo). - I add a drizzle of unfiltered olive oil and a few pinches of dried herbs to the rinsed rice before cooking. I use tap water when cooking the rice, but you can also use your favorite broth for additional flavor. Freezing Cooked Rice: To make your meal preparation more efficient, this cooked rice freezes beautifully in covered containers so you always have some on hand. Simply microwave to warm it up, or use it in a tasty stir fry. A terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product

Mahatma brown rice was delivered to me on August 14, 2025. I ordered 2 two-pound bags. Upon opening, the first one had a lump inside which, when I dumped the entire bag out on a table, turned out to be a small, largely decomposed mouse. I opened the second bag at the same time. There was another rodent in that one also. There is currently a classic action lawsuit being brought against Mahatma for selling rice that is contaminated with heavy metals. I will never buy another Mahatma product. Amazon needs to include a warning that Mahatma failed to disclose that heavy metals, including arsenic and cadmium, have been found in Mahatma products The only reason my review shows "One Star" is that it won't allow me to show ZERO
