There was a bungee cord broken. I should have looked closely at baggie before I started putting it on. I just figured it was an open box and unattached pieces were in baggie. It went on easy enough, but when I went to attach passenger side bungee cord above visor and reached in baggie I noticed it was broken. Amazon should check returned merchandise and not resell it if it’s defective. Very disappointed. The missing bungee cord could be why it doesn’t lay smooth (pic 2). I called the manufacturer number Amazon gave me and they said they don’t have separate parts, since I got it off Amazon my best bet would be to go through Amazon. I really dont feel like boxing it up and driving to store to return it to get my money back. Going to go out for a spin and see how it works without the cord.

My 08 Sahara is not a daily driver and sits in the garage with its giant mud tires. That being said I keep the doors and top off year round. This product was EXACTLY what we were looking for. While driving on the beach or anywhere for that matter it gets really hot in Florida! Being that my wife is pregnant I decided to give this product a shot as I did not want to install a header channel and get stuck in the rain with inability to put up the soft top.I would not change a thing about this! Still get a bit of sun but feels like sitting under a shady tree, its actually cooler than the soft top up. Feels exactly the same with nothing with the light etc. Very easy to install - I like this much better than the spider shade as you can't even tell its installed as it sits level with the bars rather than over the top.I was hestiant with other reviewers talking about head clearance who are over 6' but I think they just need to lower their seat because if they are sitting that tall they are likely eating bugs......

My girlfriend burns easily, and encouraged me to find something so that she didn't get sun-burnt while riding with the tops off (2008 Wrangler JK). I gave this a try, and i'm so glad I did. I bougth this at the beginning of the summer, and am posting this review after about 4 months of use.Pros:Easy to install. Looking at the picture on the box was about all the info I needed. The fit was perfectBlocks out the sun, while still allowing air to flow though.Holds in place really well, does not flap in the wide even while on the highway.Comes with a pouch to store it in during the colder monthsMade to be able to pretty easily put on and take off the freedom tops without having to take it off (simply undo the Velcro straps and attach the elastic bungee cords.Cons:None that I can think of.l

This product does work, it diffuses the sunlight and keeps you from feeling like you're in direct sunlight.However, this thing is very hard to install. The instructions are in black and white, and the photos are too hard to decipher when the material in the Jeep and of the product is black on black. You'll probably have to take two runs at it to get things right.Secondly, the bungee attachments are so short that installation is a finger destroying hassle. You'll go crazy wondering how you're ever going to stretch them enough to make the connection. Watch what you are doing, because you have to pull the bungee cords so tight that you could snap yourself in the face with one, and it wouldn't be a fun experience.I went with this over the spider web shade simply because this was shippable with Amazon Prime, but if I had it to do over again, I might choose the spider web shade instead.

I installed this in no time , less than 15 minutes on my hard top jk. I can leave it in place with the top on as it doesn't interfere with the hard top although you do have to leave two straps unbuckled in the front but you don't realize it. Just remember to fasten them when you remove the top. My only issue and its not a big one is I wish it would fit a little tighter. There seems to be a slight sag as it doesn't fit as tight as in the pictures. Otherwise I think its great and happy to have it . I think its also good at keeping the wind out and not just the sun. With the top off the jk gets a lot of wind passing through and this blocks a lot of it.

This is a very good fit on my 2017 Wrangler JKU. All bungies (except 2) are permanently attached. They are very tight, and take some force to put them on. Freedom top should be removed first of course, that's the reason to have one of these. In my case one of the 2 front hooked bungees had a problem, and the hooks kept coming off because it was so tight. I suspect the cord for that one was a bit short. Rugged Ridge customer support replaced the entire top. Now that's excellent customer support. This is my 3rd Rugged Ridge product, and I'll be back for more.

Didn't like front mount straps as you can shut hard to clxmps with straps installed. I wanted to leave it on under freedom top

Really happy w/ all my Rugged Ridge products, but I'm not a fan of the vague instructions that come w/ them. I've watched YouTube videos for similar products to get a better idea of what I could encounter when installing products. This shade is sooo easy to install on my Wrangler 4dr Unlimited. The bungee cords are tight and it doesn't move. I really like that I can put the freedom panels back on w/out removing the shade. At first look, I was afraid I was going to have to take the hard top off to get the cords around the speaker bar, and that would have required unbolting it, etc. But that wasn't necessary - I was able to snake the cord through a crease in the bar without removing the top. Only took about 10mins to install. Definitely recommend.

Yet to try it because its winter in Montreal, but for the price I paid (~30$) and the quality of the material, I know it was a good buy.

Yes..like it. Keeps the main heat of the sun off of you and helps keep the wind down to a good breeze on the highway as well....

Worked great! Would buy again if we had another Jeep!

Do you really need it?! I realized I don`t after I purchased it.
