Does this fit a standard tape dispenser?

No it fits in a bigger size dispenser. I bought a dispenser that fits either size tape on Amazon.

Does it leave a residue on fabric? Can you use on shirts?

I use when I do sublimation on several different types of fabric and it peals right off leaving no residue. I press my shirts in a t-shirt press at 375 degrees. Hope that helps :) It is the best tape I have found.
