Dennison's Chunky Chili Con Carne with Beans, Canned Chili, 15 oz

Not a lot of spicy taste. Smooth texture, like a thick soup

My favorite canned chili by far. Best flavor by far imo. Usually cheaper through Amazon than the store.

Not bad lots of meat and beans. Not at all spicy other than its real salty. I'll buy it again. The the consistency is good.

I loved, loved, loved this canned chili. I've been searching for years for a chili similar to a chili I used to get at a drug store lunch counter in a small town in North Carolina when I was a child. The drug store has been closed for decades but I found out on an online site for the town that the chili was not made in house but was bought csnned chili. Unfortunately that brand of chili is no longer made at all, the company no longer exists. While searching for the brand of chili used at the lunch counter in the drug store I found comments saying this Dennison's was really close in flavor to the drug store brand of chili. They didn't have this brand of chili in my local grocery stores so I checked here on Amazon and was super happy to find it for purchase. I had a bowl tonight for dinner with saltine crackers and it was just wonderful. I was transported back to my childhood. I will most definately be buying more of this because I need it in my life now that I've found it. I'm so happy it is sold here on Amazon. It was a good value for the price, too. I will probably buy it in bulk so I can have it over a baked potato, eat it served over corn tortillas, use it as the base for a chili soup tortilla soup, etc.. It sure is good chili!

With prices so outrageous now, this is a very good value! It’s nutritious for you with double the protein and it’s delicious! I do not like food that burns my mouth and this has the right amount of spices. Just heat and eat! Personally, I like to add some cheese and sour cream to mine. Can’t beat the price!

Just a Fair taste.

Probably the best (or at minimum one of the best) canned chili product out there as far as meat/heartiness realistic volume and quality ie. what you'd expect if you were at a restaurant ordering house specialty chili made fresh. Now, I will say. And this is a POSITIVE not a negative. It's of minimal spice/additives/flavor etc. that defines what one considers to be "a great chili". Because you're meant to add your own! Want intense spice, add it. Want a lemon-pepper style, then add it. Want it to match your favorite chili, then do the same. It doesn't dictate, what your flavor is, rather it respects your freedom to allow it to become whatever you wish it to be. This is why this remains a staple product in my household. Sometimes I want extra spice, other times a lemon pepper type taste. So I add it accordingly. It's more versatile than more popular chili product because it's more "base" or as some say "plain. This isn't a bad thing. Unless you're lazy. And if your lazy, you deserve neither chili nor flavor. In my opinion. Other than that it is reminiscent of "Steak & Shake" chili. Very tasty on it's own, but won't be altered to the point of missed expectation if you decide to add your own flavor or spice. This is its value. Again, very meaty and hearty, less "watery" or "soupy" than more popular canned chili. I highly doubt you'd regret the purchase.
