I’m so in love. I’ve been stressing out about my hair. The grays had taken over and I just let them do their thing because I was NOT going to do the usual permanent dye thing again. I had been using the temporary solution of coloring the gray with those little crayon thingys and having that rub off was stressing me out almost as much as the gray. But avoiding toxic chemicals was my priority. Thankfully, the Surya Brasil henna cream did the job! The dark brown came out nice and dark on my grays and my hair is looking nice and natural. I’ve been using this the past few years and notice it has much better coverage of greys than normal henna powder. No mixing necessary, the henna dye is much easier and faster to apply. Just like regular henna, i leave it in my hair for about 6 hours to take full effect. In the past i tried recommended time frame and it didn’t take to my hair. Washed out after the first wash. So now i leave for 6 hours. No ill effects from this. It fully takes to my hair and won’t fully wash out for about 2.5 months, which is how often i re-dye my hair anyway. It starts out rather dark and fades to a nice rich brown after a few washes. Buying on Amazon is usually cheaper than in store, but i do find that this brand can be found at most health food stores I’ve searched. I use griffin remedy color safe shampoo to maintain the color. I usually wash my hair 2 times per week so as to maintain the color longer, otherwise it might fade after about a month. I will continue buying this brand for the foreseeable future as all the other henna dye powders seem less effective on my greys. If you have a decent amount of grey, you will like this product. Just make sure to totally saturate down to the root and let sit for 6 hours. I know it’s annoying but i usually sleep with it in and put down an old towel to protect my bedding. Then i wake up and shower to rinse it out. Works like a charm.

This product colored my grey hair which grows only around my crown. I enjoy that it doesn’t include harmful chemicals like amonia. I would recommend for those looking for something to color their grays.

I was a little reluctant but I had to change my dying my gray hair routine because my hair was breaking off at the ends and was so frizzy? So currently I only have gray hair at the roots and I watched the video that the company had to make sure I wasdoing it right and I left mine on for 65-70min with a shower cap and a cap hair dryer that attaches to your blow dryer for about 40min alternating between cool and warm. It is a little messy and did not come with a cap to cover the hair or gloves so be aware of it took a little while to rinse it out until the water was clear. Must be done on freshly washed damp hair with NO conditioner and no washing it with shampoo for a few days. It is a dye that is semi permanent so it will fade with time. That said I do have dark brown hair and got the dark brown color and it is a little darker than I usually like but still looks good and with the idea it will fade a little it will probably be ok. We'll see I may have to get the chocolate color next time. I have mid back length hair and almost used the entire bottle but not all of it. Next time I may use plastic wrap and wrap that around my head instead of the shower cap

It's easy to use, but the color doesn't stay. Very disappointed.

I leave this in for hours and it doesn’t cover gray very well. It takes a long time go rinse out. It doesn’t really rinse out as it keeps washing out with every shampoo. Product is a good conditioner for the hair and adds highlights but doesn’t cover gray.

Before buying this, I was doing a 2 henna powder kit that basically took all day and when washed out turned my roots orange. I was a bit skeptical about this product based on a few reviews and the bottle was small but surprisingly it covered all my hair and turned it dark brown with a bit of red streaking but not much - likely because I focused on the roots and covered the rest sparingly as I didn't think there would be enough. It would be nice to have a little bit bigger bottle but so far I am pleased with the results so I gave it 5 stars. It covered the grey nicely and even a friend commented how nice it looks. I love the color and it feels nice. We wlll see how long the color lasts.

The hair colour is great!!! Obviously if something is giving black or dark brown colour in 2 hrs, it’s not completely natural. It does contain synthetic dyes. But on the brighter side no PPD, Ammonia and Peroxide which is a big plus for me. This just coats the hair with colour on the surface without lifting the cuticle which reduces hair damage significantly. I personally didn’t have any hair loss or dryness. The colour is not as dark as the traditional hair colour but it gave good grey coverage. You have to cover your hair with a shower cap after application otherwise it doesn’t give any colour at all. I did this mistake and had to go through the whole process of reapplying it again. The seller sent the product which had only 1 month left before expiry. So 1star to the seller. But I personally loved the product.
